We have been visiting Corfu over 10years and lodge in many self catering apartments, this has to be the most basic which we have had to endure, lucky that I do bring my own pillows but if you needed an extra pillow (only given one pillow and one towel) you have to hire these from the owner. To cook a meal you did not have any equipment, no spatulas, all you had was a blunt table knife, fork and spoon each. No cleaning equipment for the room either. Our 'host' over the first two days never stopped moaning and criticise other guests that were stay in 'his' apartments. So much so that we did not eat or drink there(more expensive any way!)and he called us 'professional holidaymakers' as we had brought with us pillows!.The owner Coster tried his hardest to ruin our holiday by his unpleasant manner and his aggressive ways, he never took his hat off even when serving food! Two days before we were due to leave he demanded to see our passports and accommodation slips, he informed me (by swearing) that we had taken his 'hospitality' for granted that my daughter (whom works in Corfu)should not have brought us gear to use in 'his apartment', such as a kettle and some mugs. The next day he threatern us both with the police and would stop our flight home if we gave his accommodation a bad report. He was so rude/aggressive swearing, we did have to move out for the last night, as we were worried that he might do something to our luggage as he was so odd. It did not feel safe to remain there. St Georges (south)is a lovley place and we will return but not to stay at Stars. It appears that if you spend all your holiday with Coster he like your money but remember he will still moan about you to other guest!.

I can't believe what those people write for STARS. I was there also in September with my family and we have had a great time.
Those reviewers were out of order and everybody there could see that.
They have made so many troubles and finally they destroyed the holiday of a lot of guests. I am also one of the tourists who signed for the bad behaviour of the previous reviewers. Those revies are very unfair for STARS and for the manager also. I am ready to support the management anytime because as an English tourist I feel sorry for the way some of us behave on holidays. It's not nice.
Anyway, STARS is our second home from now on because we really enjoyed ourselves. I am very happy to return back with my family anytime. I just hope that the next time I will not meet similar type of guests. Thank you very much.

Just back from STARS and I completely agree with the last 3 reviews, the accommodation is basic and the owner Costas is highly unpleasant and intimidating, to the point where he ruined a few people's holidays who didn't want to leave the apartments in case they bumped into him. The actual resort however is lovely, we had fabulous meals at The Seagull and also San Carlos and I would definitely wish to go back there. Although it was the last week of the season that I was there the nightlife didn't suffer too much and Retreat bar was great fun and very friendly, karaoke fun all round after 10:30pm. If you are going to hire vehicles it might be worth looking around for online deals first as the resort is obviously more expensive, that said hiring a squad bike is top fun as long as you are of the more careful sort! All in all I enjoyed our holiday however the accomodation owner did his absolute best to ensure that was not the case, I would rather eat my own arm off than go back there again...

The rooms are very very basic and a long way from beaches and the road to Stars is not well lit and has large uncovered deep gullies at the sides so beware when walking in the dark, I agree with the comments about the owner who was rude with many of the guests, the breakfast bars left a lot to be desired and the drinks were overpriced I cant understand if the guests from the earlier reviews stayed at the same place as the guests we met or maybe it has a different owner now but I never saw him smile once and he showed no interest in his guests whilst we were there if you plan to go please be advised that there are much nicer places to stay in St Georges South.

Stars absolutely the worst place we've ever stayed. Kostas, the owner, is the most rudest, aggresive man & should not be let near the public. He wasn't only rude to us but several other guests who I hope give a review as they said they would. The rooms are unsuitable for self catering as there are no spatulas, tin openers, knives etc. and the several things were wrong with the room, ie hot shower tap kept falling off, couldn,t open the cupboard door without first opening the drawer underneath as it was hanging off etc.Do not eat or drink in the onsite bar, worst food & prices in the resort.St. George is an excellent resort all round, can recommend it highly just don't go near Stars studios, HELL ON EARTH !!!

I have just returned from a relaxing week in St Georges, which as a resort I would recommend to all. It offers excellent beaches and fabulous tavernas offering traditional Greek Food. The Panorama and Miris restaurants are not to be missed, the queens offers excellent cocktails, La Goudia for entertainment. A Greek night is also a must.

However I would be very wary about booking the Star Studios again. It definitely lives up to its 2 star reputation and should not be booked by those wishing a true self-catered holiday, as the facilities do not support this. It was reasonably clean, however the maid did occasionally forget to come. Star studios are situated on the main road into St Georges and is a 10-15min walk into the centre and a 25min walk to the beautiful beaches. The roads like most Greek roads offer little lighting and no pavements, which due to the sharp bends can be difficult to navigate at night, the elderly may find this trip difficult. The facilities at the star studios are also basic with a small pool, however the owner does not charge for the sun loungers surrounding it, a kindness he likes to remind you of and is made up for in his inflated food and drink prices. Guests who choose not to patronise his bar for food and drink are viewed poorly and as a result may find him difficult (often rude and on occasion aggressive) if assistance required. The studios are isolated and surrounded on all sides by vineyards and olive groves, which unfortunately means that wasps can be found in abundance making the consumption of anything sweet smelling very difficult. No entertainment was offered on site during our stay.
