We booked our holiday through lastminute.com. It was a one week, half board, transfers & taxes included for £280 each. We arrived late at night but awoke the next morning to a picture perfect view. The hotel looks exactly the way it does on the website. The pool area was relaxing with the most amazing view. There were a few families with small children but these were very well behaved so you hardly noticed them. We stayed in both the standard room (for 3 nts) and the luxury room for 4 nts. The standard rooms are very basic but comfortable. The luxury rooms are beautiful and once again their website does not lie as they looked exactly as they did in the picture. We ended up eating in at the restaurant in the hotel for all breakfasts & dinners. The food was great. Very healthy, good home cooked food with a different variety each night. The breakfast food is mainly cold with a few hot items but don't go expecting an english breakfast because they just don't do it. The lunch menu and drinks were very reasonably priced. The house wine and beer are very cheap. Overall you could not fault the service, accomodation or food. Now for the bad points, which I might add are few. Getting to and from the hotel from the street and going to the local shop is a bit of a pain because the hotel is situated on the side of a mountain and the walk up to the hotel is steep. In keeping with that the walk from the main area to the rooms is also quite steep. Definitely not suited to someone with limited mobility. On the bright side though the hotel deliver you and your luggage to your room by car. They will also pick your luggage up at the end of your stay and bring it to reception. Also if you like going out at night you will have to get taxi's everywhere which are very expensive. It's about 50 euros each way to Corfu town and about 10-15 euros each way to Ipsos. Hence one of the reasons we stayed in at the hotel. There is a beach at the bottom of the hotel but it is a pebble beach and quite a climb down some cliffside stairs to reach it. There is another beach but it is about a 45min from the hotel. You are better off beside the pool. Overall if you are looking for a quiet holiday where you and your partner can relax, lie by the pool and simply enjoy each others company, then this is the place for you. If you want a week away to relax & revive this is just the place. My husband & I absolutley loved our holiday here and will definitely be going back for another weeks break.
