Just got back from this hotel food was great, but that was just about it. If you are planning on going to this hotel you must take your driving licence as every things is very fare away and isn't walking distance like they say. You have to rent a car or bike as transport as buses only run 3-4 times a day down town, and if you miss it you'll have to pay the £25 back. The hotel is on a very steap hill and a lot of climbing is involved so be aware. Our room had rain leaking throught the front door which was very bad and made floors wet and very dangerous as being tiles. Everything in the hotel cost money and nothing is free, like to play pool 2 euros for the hotel to call you a cab 1 euro yes to call you a cab 1 euro. And another thing is don't be fooled in to believe that you get put in the rooms that they show you on the net cos you dont there all luxury rooms that they'll offer you when you get there for 35 euros extra a night which i think is not on as they show you the pictures of...... We knew from our research that the hotel was on a hillside with steep climbs to rooms so this was no surprise. Room was clean and staff were generally friendly and efficient. View from the balcony was superb! We were on a half board deal and were very impressed by the selection of food available, the service and quality and value for money. Strongly recommend it. We are planning a return!

Lovely Place

Had our reservations about going to Corfu - but this place was brilliant. Great little pool, and cafe. Service was very good at every meal time, but the woman who ran the cafe by the pool was a little curt and the sign for walnut cake that was put out every day proved to be a big lie. Bar drinks very decently priced, and entertainment every night - prepare yourself for the excitement of sit down bingo! Not the most 'rock n roll' place in the world, but if you're going to a nice relaxing holiday to tan, sit by the pool and admire the scenery (beautiful views over the ocean and Corfu town from one side of the pool, and the mountains from the other side) - then this place is perfect. Would highly recommend upgrading to the luxury room as the standard rooms are exactly that - very basic. The place looked exactly like it did on the website too, so there was absolutely no disapointment. (It's worth having a scout around to find the stairs up to the top level apartments because walking...... Read more

We thought we were getting quite a cheap deal but having heard how much other people paid i don't think so now! We paid £350 each which i suppose isn't to bad condidering its half board. My first opinion of the hotel was not a good one at all. We were put into a very small roonm, with 2 beds and a bunk bed! It looked as though no one had been in there for about 10 years and was not very welcoming. We than decided to upgrade to a luxary room as we wanted air con/fridge/hair dryer etc. You have to pay extra for them so its worth upgrading as you get all these things included in the price. The luxuary rooms were alot better but we had to pay an extra 174 Euros for it! The food was very nice but sometimes the staff were so busy we didn't even get offered a drink! To walk to the beach or supermarket is a bit of a pain, as the hill is so steep from the hotel. There wasnt much to do in the night, not even any entertainment! This didn't bother us to much but it would of been nice. Overall i...... Read more

Darling Place on budget money

We booked our holiday through lastminute.com. It was a one week, half board, transfers & taxes included for £280 each. We arrived late at night but awoke the next morning to a picture perfect view. The hotel looks exactly the way it does on the website. The pool area was relaxing with the most amazing view. There were a few families with small children but these were very well behaved so you hardly noticed them. We stayed in both the standard room (for 3 nts) and the luxury room for 4 nts. The standard rooms are very basic but comfortable. The luxury rooms are beautiful and once again their website does not lie as they looked exactly as they did in the picture. We ended up eating in at the restaurant in the hotel for all breakfasts & dinners. The food was great. Very healthy, good home cooked food with a different variety each night. The breakfast food is mainly cold with a few hot items but don't go expecting an english breakfast because they just don't do it. The lunch menu and...... Read more
