Should be open exclusively to Germans

There appears to be something of a segregation policy in place, with the Germans housed in the original part of the hotel (by the sea – there is no beach) and the Brits across the road in the new block. Personally, I thought our accommodation was quite nice and we had by far the best pool. But there are a totally inadequate number of sun beds and parasols. The sun bed problem is just as bad in the gardens by the sea and exacerbated by (presumably German) people stacking four beds on their terraces and not using them all day. The all-German activity / entertainment team promotes the kids club only around the old hotel, so the English kids feel excluded. The wasps are a nuisance but not particularly aggressive. The hotel is set in very nice gardens of olive and fig trees and I think it’s the figs that attracted them in the first place. I don’t think there is much the hotel management can do about the problem. The restaurant is in the old hotel, which is reached by crossing the...... Read more

Susan is closer to the mark. Overall a disappointing experience but then do not expect much from hotels along this overdeveloped coastal strip. The hotel is bisected by the main coast road. Rooms in the new part are spartan. The chalets on the beach (well beside the water) side look a better bet. Large pool ideal for children but not enough sunbeds (get up early and bag one). The food is pretty miserable and the dining room is like a zoo at feeding time. Dinner finishes at 9pm prompt. Drinks available on all inclusive are very limited. A bottle of water is extra! If you stay here, hire a car and explore the west coast and eat out. The Village Taverna in the old village is worth a visit. Nicholas the owner will keep you amused and there is none of the neon and noise of the main village. The day trip to Albania is interesting too.

Great Value and scenery

I'd agree with some of the reviews that say the hotel is not 5 star...I'd say 4 star is about fair. The hotel really is \'on\' the sea front (not really a beach), there is a beach a few hundred meters away. The grounds of the hotel are really stunning and the staff are mostly friendly and helpful. I think that the food was OK plenty of choice and there were a few special themed nights when they did a BBQ and an oriental night. There is really enough choice for everyone and I don’t think that the Germans are specifically catered for. As for the Cats and Dogs begging, we did not see any of this. After reading reviews on this place I was a bit concerned about going to this hotel but I was pleasantly surprised...

Well, what can I say but a German hotel purely catered for them, certainly not for the British. Five stars is a joke ! Only worth 3 star. Food rubbish, staff rude, only good thing is it's quite clean. Called Miramare Beach, but no beach. Need I say more !!

The hotel is excellent the food is good the entertainment is alright. The only problem with the hotel is when your eating there is cats and dogs begging for food which is really disgusting!!!
