Booked on last minute, twin room with extra bed for our 13 yr old son. We arrived in the early hours and were greeted by rude staff in reception. The room had only 2 beds, the male member of staff took over an hour to bring fold up bed(only after my husband complained at rec) which was left for us to put up. Rooms in desperate need of upgrade, our shower cradle was broken so had to hold yourself, but were cleaned and fresh bedding and towels daily. The food was better than we expected, tasty and plentiful if luke warm. The pool, we noticed towards the end of our 1 week stay needed a cleaning - the water becoming cloudy. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay but glad we didn't book 2 weeks and won't be going back.

I read all the reviews of this hotel and was worried I’d cooked the worst holiday of my life but I’m glad I went as it was an excellent holiday. The staff we're fantastic and worked hard to make our stay one to remember and now some of them have become friends that we keep in touch with. I took my child on her 1st holiday and she cried when we had to leave as she enjoyed it so much. All I can say is I‘ll be visiting again next year!

Had I believed all the reviews I would have cancelled. Thank goodness I did not. We had a grest time. The hotel was just what we needed, better than expected and we all had a fun time. Sure, the toilet stopped working, the electricity failed and we were not over impressed with the evening meal. All of our problems were immediately resolved and we did not die of starvation or food poisoning. The staff were good fun and extremely helpful. the facilities were pleasing and all was extremely clean. We really felt sad to leave this perfectly situated hotel. With a special 'thank you' to Spiros the bar man for his lovely Tropical storms!

Although the rooms are basic everywhere is very clean and comfy, maid service is daily and they do an excellant job. The food is good and plentiful(no need to be hungry). The resort itself is welcoming and the gardens and views beautiful, the entertainment is fun only problem we found was the bars and kiosks at the hotel are a little pricey, but they dont mind you taking in drinks ect from the local shops. All in all a great place for a holiday especially if you have kids.

Poor accommodation!

The accommodation in this hotel is rubbish, I went with my family and I had to share a room with them! Some of the staff are ignorant but most are ok; the entertainment during the day was great, especially by the pool.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life. The building is in dire need of maintenance, feeling very dated and tired. The rooms are simply dreadful with poor beds, furnishings and lacking adequate hygiene facilities, with cracked tiles, broken floor and wall tiles and mould in places. The meals are of poor quality and aimed mainly at the French and German guests whom the hotel seem to favour. There is little to interest English gusets either in terms of food or \"entertainment\". The staff are in the main unhelpful and sometimes rude. The rooms are not cleaned to a sufficient standard and the towels are not exchanged frequently enough. The enire complex is run-down and is poor value for money. Without doubt the worst hotel I have ver had the misfortune to stay in. Never again.

The village Moraitika en Messonghi are very good, we stayed there the most time. The only good thing about this hotel is the diving-school NAUTILUS (English) Next time we dive again, but we never stay in this hotel again. The hotel is old, Beds are impossible to sleep on, food was cold, rooms are not clean, douchewater was cold and shower ???, Pool water dirty, personal not friendly. We will not come back to visit this horrible-hotel !

Good hotel lacking in maintenance

An enjoyable holiday was enjoyed by my wife and I in late September 2005. The food was excellent(not if you can only think as far as a full English Breakfast)but it was nearly always luke warm. Hot food was always put in a hotplate which was never switched on. Food was self service which could cause a bit of a slow down in the queue. The Animators worked very hard to keep everyone happy and the nightly show was quite good and in the Poseidon Block always closed down at Midnight. Sun beds at beach and swimming pools cost 2.50 Euros per day - sunbeds at other hotel swimming pools were free. Different nationalities mixed well although the hotel seemed to pay more attention to the needs of French tourists. The room was basic and very clean. Towels were changed every other day though the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Overall maintenance was poor. Most exterior wood surfaces were well overdue for painting and the gardens were not kept to a very high standard. The beach was the dirtiest we have ever seen - it consisted of about 10% grit, 40% sand/dirt and 59% cigarette ends. Seaweed was scraped up and piled each end of the beach. It was noteable that the beach which nordered the hotel beach, was much better and cleaner. Despite these problems, we enjoyed our stay but am afraid that we will not be repeating our visit to the hotel.
