Booked on last minute, twin room with extra bed for our 13 yr old son. We arrived in the early hours and were greeted by rude staff in reception. The room had only 2 beds, the male member of staff took over an hour to bring fold up bed(only after my husband complained at rec) which was left for us to put up. Rooms in desperate need of upgrade, our shower cradle was broken so had to hold yourself, but were cleaned and fresh bedding and towels daily. The food was better than we expected, tasty and plentiful if luke warm. The pool, we noticed towards the end of our 1 week stay needed a cleaning - the water becoming cloudy. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay but glad we didn't book 2 weeks and won't be going back.

I read all the reviews of this hotel and was worried I'd cooked the worst holiday of my life but I'm glad I went as it was an excellent holiday. The staff we're fantastic and worked hard to make our stay one to remember and now some of them have become friends that we keep in touch with. I took my child on her 1st holiday and she cried when we had to leave as she enjoyed it so much. All I can say is I‘ll be visiting again next year!

After reading the reviews before visiting messonghi beach I was considering cancelling our holiday.Thankfully we were pleasently surprised apart from the weather for the first 3 days like a monsoon floods everywhere not the best time to go at the end of season, but when the sun did come out it was beautiful.Accomodation was very basic but it is Greece after all, rooms were kept very clean beds made every day and clean towels beds very uncomfortable though. we payed full price for our holiday would get a late booking next time.Corfu isnt cheap we spent alot of money in one week.Went to Corfu Town very beautiful and went on the glass bottom boat trip DONT BOTHER all we saw was a few black fish and one crayfish what a dissapointment.Aqualand is a must great fun!!we took our 2 children with us their first time abroad when it rained there was nothing for them to do my youngest was too young for the mini club and my eldest who is 5 wouldnt stay it is more geered for the french and germans so when it rains it is boring!!Pools were kept very clean Beach was awful shingle and pebbly I prefer sandy beaches the sea was beutiful and the surrounding view water sports were great too.Overall im glad I went we enjoyed our holiday Thanks to Christos in the English restaurant he was really friendly and kind you made us feel really welcome.

Had I believed all the reviews I would have cancelled. Thank goodness I did not. We had a grest time. The hotel was just what we needed, better than expected and we all had a fun time. Sure, the toilet stopped working, the electricity failed and we were not over impressed with the evening meal. All of our problems were immediately resolved and we did not die of starvation or food poisoning. The staff were good fun and extremely helpful. the facilities were pleasing and all was extremely clean. We really felt sad to leave this perfectly situated hotel. With a special 'thank you' to Spiros the bar man for his lovely Tropical storms!

The accommodation in this hotel is rubbish, I went with my family and I had to share a room with them!
Some of the staff are ignorant but most are ok; the entertainment during the day was great, especially by the pool.

Although the rooms are basic everywhere is very clean and comfy, maid service is daily and they do an excellant job. The food is good and plentiful(no need to be hungry). The resort itself is welcoming and the gardens and views beautiful, the entertainment is fun only problem we found was the bars and kiosks at the hotel are a little pricey, but they dont mind you taking in drinks ect from the local shops. All in all a great place for a holiday especially if you have kids.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life. The building is in dire need of maintenance, feeling very dated and tired. The rooms are simply dreadful with poor beds, furnishings and lacking adequate hygiene facilities, with cracked tiles, broken floor and wall tiles and mould in places. The meals are of poor quality and aimed mainly at the French and German guests whom the hotel seem to favour. There is little to interest English gusets either in terms of food or \"entertainment\". The staff are in the main unhelpful and sometimes rude. The rooms are not cleaned to a sufficient standard and the towels are not exchanged frequently enough. The enire complex is run-down and is poor value for money. Without doubt the worst hotel I have ver had the misfortune to stay in. Never again.

The village Moraitika en Messonghi are very good, we stayed there the most time. The only good thing about this hotel is the diving-school NAUTILUS (English) Next time we dive again, but we never stay in this hotel again. The hotel is old, Beds are impossible to sleep on, food was cold, rooms are not clean, douchewater was cold and shower ???, Pool water dirty, personal not friendly. We will not come back to visit this horrible-hotel !

Top Local Tips for Corfu

helpful do be careful with young children on public transport, as they are mostly filled up full. although children are safe in the sense of people. they may get lost or injured due to the amount of people on public transport!

Airport is chaos on return The airport is total chaos - and I was travelling low season - dread to think what it's like high seaon. Be prepared for confusing queues, long delays etc. Suggest you have water/ soft drinks and maybe even a sandwich with you before you get there...if you have small children (horrible though they are) be prepared for them to be bored and play up (bless their little hearts...!) I am sure you love them though the rest of us wonder why you take the brats on holiday - hasn't someone invented kennels for them yet? - You're gonna hate me for some of these comments (Am I bovvered?) at least I'm warning you!

Drinks Drinks in hotel expensive.£2 euros for a glass or coke.£6.50 euros for a cocktail.Take a walk into town
