Dreadful
Just returned from a two week holiday at the Marbella, the best way to sum it up is by headings, well the down points anyway. LOCATION....please bear in mind that this hotel is very isolated, and at the top of an extremely steep hill, taxi to Corfu town approx 30 EUROS. WASPS.... the whole site is swarming with them, it is nigh on impossible to relax at the pool, or snack bar as they pester you constantly, one actually flew in to my ear and stung me, they really are a big problem during the day. BAR PRICES......hope you take lots of cash with you, as the drinks are extortionate, you expect to pay extra in a holiday hotel, but not this much. MEAL TIMES.....queue for breakfast and the same for dinner, and very poor service, and again twenty euros for a bottle of mediocre wine, retailing at three euros in the shops. SUMMARY......we booked a room with a sea view, but were given a room overlooking the hill at the side, the sea was visible if you wound your neck out far enough over the balco...Read more

Second class citizen
As we did not book this hotel, we were moved by our travel rep we were apprehensive to say the least. First impression the hotel looked quite beautiful and grand. Our room was huge and clean, clean towels every day. The main problem was we were all inclusive and the hotel had not catered for all inclusive before. It was 5 star and all inclusive guests. This should not have been a problem but it was a big problem. We were allowed to use 1 bar which was right at the bottom of the hotel, we had no entertainment down there as the animation team was not paid to come down and include the all inclusive families. We were only allowed to dine outside as the restaurant was reserved for 5 star guests only. The management looked down on you once they saw your wrist bands. We were made to feel second class people. I could go on and on but I think you will understand our dilemma. Please think twice before you book all inclusive.

A poor value for money
The marbella beach, corfu does not deserve its star rating. Altough the hotel is rather beautiful, the beach is artificial. The quality of services is really weak. The restaurant is not inspired nor inspiring. And some rooms # 11xx are really terrible. What is the most annoying with this hotel is that everything reminds you that you are one customer among thousands and that your needs do not matter.
