Tip 1: the air-con goes off when you remove your key and leave the room so to keep the room cool, remove the magnetic fob, leave it in the switch and just take the key with you! ;)
Tip 2: Allow 3 hours for evening dinner as there are so many courses to be had! Arrive by 7pm and take a balcony table over-looking the bay - much quieter and more beautiful than the dining room.
Tip 3: Steer clear of the in-house Chinese' restaurant. It's Greco-Chinese not like Brit chinese at all (yuk!!!). Once tried, forever avoided.
SUGGESTION: If the hotel is reading this, change the chinese restaurant (which is usually empty because the food is BAD!) to a Greek mese-house style restaurant. It'd be much more popular and guests that love lamb Kleftiko or Souvlaki or Dolmades Avgolemono would be keen to visit more regularly.

Would I go again? YES, because the dining room food is fantastic (but NOT the chinese!)

The only problem we had was the air conditioning. When you switched the extractor on in the bathroom it tripped the supply which needed an engineer to come and reset it on the main board in the passage on our floor. This happened each time we were getting ready for our evening meal time.
When we both arrived and departed a porter would take your baggage on a trolley up and down the long hilly path to and from the main building to the rooms which were both in blocks and bungalow's scattered around the grounds. Overall a first rate restfull holiday.

Top Local Tips for Corfu
airport in Corfu the airport in corfu was not very good .we were kept in a long queue outside for at least one hour in the heat of the day. It was the only thing that spoilt out holiday. And once inside we were very rushed because of the delay waiting outside, also a very long queue for somthing to eat and drink .just managed to get to the head of the queue when our flight number was called to go to passport control.. So if we went again I think we would get a taxi instead of waiting for the tour bus so we could avoid the rush for checking in.
fantastic scenery brilliant weather for children forfamilies with young children and people who enjoy beautiful surroundings may is the best time of year to visit corfu. the weather is perfect for the children as it hot but comfortable (still warm enough for mum to get a fantastic tan), and the surroundings are at their best with wonderful flowers and trees in every direction that create stunning views of this beautiful island.
May can be wet If you want wall to wall sunshine then don't go to Corfu in May. There is a reason that Corfu is a green island, it is because it rains there more than other Mediterranean countries. May can be both wet and cold. Another reason to avoid May is that Corfu is not really open to tourists until June.
