This is for those of you who having booked the Ermones Beach Hotel have now read the dire reviews. That's what we did! and it created a heap of unnecessary anxiety. We went all inclusive myself husband 3 children aged 11, 13 & 16. The accommodation is functional and clean centre-parcs standard. The pool is superb! Deep large clean with a cordoned off toddler’s area. The views from the pool area are lovely with a refreshing breeze. Plenty of sun-loungers and shady trees to read or relax under or to escape the sun if you so wish. The food was good and enough variety to accommodate the faddy i.e. chips all week if you wish, lots of salad and veg with all types of meat dishes. The drinks as part of the deal were coke /fanta not cheap substitutes and the cocktail measures in the inclusive deal were very generous!! We had a lovely week not a hint of a tummy bug! There were no mossies but lots of wasps but they were only after food not our blood. we would go again.

I spent a week in Ermones beach hotel during Witson week. I went with my daughter (8) and boyfriend (28). I booked the holiday back in April and only afterwards did we start reading the reviews. We were terrified. What on earth had I done???!!!! From the bad food, to the bad smells to the bees, we were really anxious about it. So we started to take the micky and decided that we would make the best of it!!! And we did. The accommodation: It was clean and safe (we found). We didn’t have a problem because we were right at the top over the pool but some people had their rooms right on the coast and had to use the lift. The lift itself is safe and comes when you call it but however, if you are impatient the steep stairs will surely improve your calves muscles and thighs. TIP: when arriving at the hotel, ask nicely to be put as high as possible. The rooms did smell of damp and sewage but only once 3/4 of you have had a shower. There’s this sort of whole thing in the bathroom floor and......

I came to Ermones for the first time last September and had the time of my life. The location is fantastic, it offers breath-taking ocean views as it is situated on the side of a mountain and the service was great. The food was authentic and so delicious that I put on a few pounds in the ten days I was there!! Highly recommended!!

When we arrived at the hotel we where already expecting the worst as we had been told about the reviews, but after a few days of walking the big hill in the morning to get to breakfast it wasn’t so bad. Ermones is set in a very scenic place and is remote for those who want a relaxing holiday. There were quite a few wasps around but that is no fault of the hotel, the food was nice but became a bit predictable by the end of the week. The staff are very friendly and there are always staff around to entertain the children. If you are looking for a cheap get away then yes I would say give it a go.

Rooms and facilities are old and worn out.
Food and drinks tasted bad and were presumably dangerous too. Four out of six got infected with salmonella. The doctors and the management just kept on refusing to tell the truth, although many people fell sick. We were lucky enough to escape that place (my wife and daughter with nappies on). They had to stay in an Austrian hospital for 10 more days to recover from their holidays.
