We have been to the Corfu Chandris many times and the standards have always been very high. The food is excellent and the staff helpful and very friendly. Rooms all have good sea views over the hotels extensive gardens that go down to a lovely beach with olive trees to sit under. The village is small but plenty to see. Would recommend an evening visit to shakers bar for good light entertainment and a drink at well below hotel prices.

Top Local Tips for Corfu

Albania Trip Not suitable for children. It is a long day with a lot of coach travel and they get bored with the Butrint archaeological site after about 5 minutes and you are there for almost 2 hours. Albania has no infrastructer to speak of and is ditressingly filthy with rubbish piled up in the streets and all th ewater courses in the countryside.

Trips Must see the Achillion Palace. The Corfu select was more expensive but the guide was relly good.

Corfu Airport Don't panic!!!! Long queues but these are for a reason as the apparent chaos is actually extremely organized and you WILL get there. Do, however, use the cafe BEFORE going through security as the one airside is absolutely awful.
