The Bella Mare is located smack-bang between the 2 resorts of Kassiopi (pretty and fairly lively but in an understated way)and Aghios Stephanos (small, very beautiful and low-key). Both resorts are appx 2 kilometres in either direction but beware - the walk can be challenging at night. Bella Mare itself is an immaculate and grand resort. The poolside area is well stocked with loungers and a good bar service exists. The owners are very accomodating and helpful. The accomodation is spacious and clean. The views and surrounding are simply beautiful. Bella Mare is located right on a pebble beach and even so, due to the lack of significant amounts of other developments, the whole area seems almost completely unspoilt. Avlaki consists of some privately owned residences and two tavernas, both of which are very good. The resort is incredibly peaceful making this the most relaxing holiday I've ever had.
