Just returned today from a two week break at the Hotel Angelica. There were 8 of us in the party using two spacious rooms, one on top of the other. I haven't got time to write much as I am off again for a week in the Scilly Isles tomorrow, but I wanted to add my praise and thanks for a relaxing two weeks in Agios Gordios. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing get away in a beautiful setting then this is the place. Spiros and his wife, Angelika make you feel welcome, even before you arrive if, like me, you were booking via email. Nothing is a problem for them. They are helpful beyond that of host and hostess. When my son fell ill with high temperatures, they were helping me cope late at night and even arranged for me to see the local doctor. I chose this place for its size and the fact it was family run. (Eleanor, the daughter, even helped out on her holiday visit.) If you are looking for the usual travel package with its day trips and crowds, with everything on a big scale, then this is not the place for you. If, however, you are after a small, friendly place, where you feel like an individual and not a number, then this is it. The pool is small like the hotel, but it does not need to be any bigger - in fact you often have it to yourself, as other guests are at the beach, eating at one of the many restaurants or taverners or out in their hire cars. You can always get a lounger as there are plenty to go around. The rooms were spotless - the cleaner takes pride in her work. You could walk barefoot in the corridors and would not find a grain of dirt. I should also mention Sue the friendly barmaid and ice cube supplier - ask her! We genuinely felt so welcomed that we were sad to say goodbye this morning. Thank you all so much for looking after us and giving us such a relaxing holiday.

If you visit Corfu, you must visit Spiros and Angelica at the Hotel Angelica. To go to Corfu especially A.G. would be a crime not to call in and sample the generosity of these two special people. They will make you feel like part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble. The pool is a relaxing haven, with smart canvas/wood sunbeds. Everywhere is extremely clean and well looked after. The studios are very spacious, light, bright and airy and cleaned on a daily basis too. Save yourself the trouble of cooking and sample the delicious meals on offer morning, noon and night created by the lovely Eda and Angelica. The Thursday BBQ night should not be missed at any cost. This is pure value for money and entertainment included too keeping adults and children entertained for hours. My husband Mal and I have enjoyed being spoilt by Spiros and Angelica for the last 3 summers. This complex is pure heaven. The family and staff go to great lengths to keep its customers satisfied and you are more than well looked after - they certainly go that extra mile. Treat yourself - you won't be disappointed. Spiros and Angelica offer great value for money. The location is in a beautiful forest/lemon tree setting. The beach is only a very short walk away. Very sandy beach with crystal clear waters. Plenty of watersports if anyone is interested but it's also a relaxing haven. I'm sure - like us you will want to visit time and again. Take a trip to Corfu Town the bus leaves on a regular basis from Gee Bee's store with a single ticket priced 1.80 euros it's a bargain day out with lots to see. Don't forget Aqualand it's approx. 20 mins away - a great day out for families. If you are in need of a Doctor there is one a couple of doors away from the hotel and you will be taken great care of. The Greek people are very generous and kind, we have been treated so well by everyone we have met. We have made a lot of friends at the Hotel Angelica and I can't make to make a return trip. Happy 31st wedding anniversay Spiros and Angelica - hope to be with you to celebrate your 32nd. Spiros get the Mythos ready I feel another holiday coming on!

Apartments were spotless and run by very friendly people with nothing too much trouble; the apartments also have the added bonus of the pool. The resort itself is very nice with numerous taverns the best of which are Sebastian’s for atmosphere and Zepyros on the beach for location

Friendly & clean accomodation. Nice pool although only half of it gets the sun! They do a great BBQ night once a week for 14 euros. The BBQ food was excellent, probably the best meal we had eaten all week. The resort itself is in a beautiful location with a mile long beach surrounded by olive tree covered hills. Lovely clear blue water but be aware that the surf can get quite high when the wind gets up. Plenty of shops and tavernas catering for tourists but nothing too tacky. Nightlife is based mainly around the tavernas although there is Mike's Dancing pub, a small bar selling cocktails with a barman/dj which was quite amusing. I'd recommend Sebastians Taverna (bit pricey but lovely food, location and friendly service)and Zepho's(?) on the beach front (nice place to eat cheaply while watching the life on the beach. The pizzas from the wood burning oven are excellent). The accomodation is located handily, a very short stroll to the shops and beach. Only gripe was that we had twin beds rather than a double. Tried pushing the beds together but there was still a 6 inch gap. The kitchen facilities were very basic (two electric rings and no oven/grill) but as we ate out most nights this didn't really bother us. Overall nice accomodation and a pleasant quiet resort :) P.S. The appartments are also known as Angelica as well as Angelika. The resort name has a few different spellings too!

Couldn't have been happier

Me and my best friend have just returned from a week in Ag Gordios. We were originally staying in Marietta Apts which were very nice but our rep moved us halfway through the holiday due to an extremely horrible man who was staying next door. Anyway, we were moved to Angelika and we couldn't have been happier. Beautiful apartments with lovely bar/restaurant which overlooked a perfect sized pool. The owner Speros (not sure if thats spelt correctly?)and bar manager, Costas were so friendly and helpful, constantly going out of their way to help and make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The view from the apartments/pool is breathtaking - just mountainside full of trees and a little stream running alongside. We were the first tourists for the season so the 50 room apartments only had about 10 people booked for the week (lovely) but the following week was fully booked and it looked that way pretty much throughout the season. Would definately go back without a doubt.
