Went with daughter for cultural visit. Got that alright. Hotel in the ghetto. Drug abusers to view every single day outside our window, prostitutes at night calling all the hours. Noisy as anything you can imagine. No sleep at all. Breakfast was a joke. Roll and watered down juice. Hotel entrance was in alley way that was dark and frightening at night. Lift scary. Had to watch what we wore out at night for fear of coming home later and being mixed up with the prostitutes. Approached by drugged up man. Made sure we got back in early. No lighting on 3 floors of the stairs which we had to use as the lift didn't work. This hotel should be closed off to holiday makers.

I would rather have slept on a park bench

I can't think of anything good to say about this place. The hotel is completely run down and the lift is very unreliable, if not positively unsafe. We were given a room with a "view of the acropolis". The room was tiny, dirty, dark, had paint peeling off the walls, the window frame was rotten and unsafe. True, you could see the acropolis from this deathtrap of a window but your eye was only drawn to the bombsite underneath. I demanded another room and was given one on the other side of the hotel. This was an improvement and we went sightseeing in a better frame of mind. We returned after dark and were greeted by drug users using the small park and prostitutes running up and down screaming and shouting all night. Traffic noise was unbearable and this went on till it was light, when the fruit and veg stalls set up either side of the hotel entrance. The area is filthy and the stall holders use it as a public urinal. Breakfast was inedible and we had to buy it elsewhere even though it was "included in the price". All in all what was going to be a treat for my daughter and myself turned into a nightmare, with neither of us being able to sleep for the noise and frightened to stay out after dark.
