The accommodations were okay. Bed was hard as a rock and pillows thin as paper, but room was nice. Get a room away from the street. You will hear people outside until 3 or 4 in the morning. The people that hang around outside the hotel might give you second thoughts about venturing out after dark but we had no problems and everyone left use alone.
Not recommended for young children. Don't be alarmed when they ask you to leave your room key with them every time you leave. They do clean your room every day.
Be prepared to pay cash(euros)! Credit card machine was always down and luckily there was an atm across the street.
All in all, it was an okay place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was kept clean! If I had to do it over again I would have picked a place down in the Plaka district if I had it to do over again only because it would be closer to everything.

Top Local Tips for Athens
Get a taxi to the hotel Get a taxi to the hotel and then once you're there, then you can work out how to get around the city. The city isn't big anyway, you can probably get all the tourist sites such as the acropolis, temple of zeus, Hadrians Arch, old olympic stadium etc in a couple or three days. We went to the beach by coastal tram one day, it was really nice. The temperature was in it's late 20's early 30's. The only annoying thing about Athens are beggars, which you get in any city, I just said No!
Remain VIGILANT on the Underground trains If you are obviously a tourist and standing (especially in the areas near the train doors) be wary of people jostling (or apparently josling) next to you. I realised this was happening when the amount of contact with people around me seemed unwarranted and sure enough, a young guy behind me had unzipped my back pocket zipper, but I discovered the situation before he got my wallet. Also, I wore a money belt under my clothes (quite comfortable) and only had limited valuables in my wallet. DON'T KEEP ALL YOUR IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AND MONEY IN ONE PLACE.
