The Hotel Candia, while still extremely beautiful, was not a very good hotel to stay in. The man who sat at the front desk was quite rude, the bartender wouldnt give me a soda, the air conditioning turned off if you took the key, and there was only ONE KEY per room. The pool was disgusting and freakishly small. And there was not enough space in the hotel room, seeing as they put 3 of us girls in one room where there was but 2 regularr beds and a cot. On the plus side, the view was quite lovely.

Allou Theme Park The kids enjoyed the evening at the theme park - better than I thought it would be.

Agios Pavlos Roastery located near Larrissa Railway Station (45, Psarron Str) we ended up eating here 3 times. It was very close to our hotel and the food was outstanding. Specializing in Greek food, the portions were big (Okay--Huge) and the price was very reasonable, even with the USD to Euro exchange rate. The owner/cook made us feel at home.

Metro The closest Metro station to Candia is Metaxourgio. It is easy to travel from the airport on the Metro & only costs 6 Euros. A taxi fare could cost 30 Euros.
