Hotel Athos Athens

The Athos was located in Athens, Greece in the Plaka area where there are lots of great restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. It's located on a more quiet side street. But it was the owner Nina, and her son Nikos that made our stay so wonderful. Honestly, they made us feel like we were part of their family. They helped us with tour reserations (we did not speak the language) so that was invaluable. I can not say enough about how absolutely incredible the people at the Athos were. Helpful and kind, and the hotel was reasonably priced and worth every cent!

Clean hotel/rooms, safe, and enjoyable stay at a very reasonable price. Location was excellent. A quiet street location. Well within quick walking distance to Plaka, Syntagma and all sites. Perfect, central location. Small restuarant next door is excellent and open early and late, when you want to experience traditional, homecooked meals. Staff was very professional and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel if you want a basic place to stay that is reasonably priced.
