Dirty and expensive hotel at great location

The whole hotel is in a great need of renovation. The lobby smells from cigarette smoke, the hallways was covered by black dust, the ceiling full of stains and the carpets had partly come loose and was of course dirty. The rooms looked the same, covered with black dust and the carpets had not even been vacuumed-cleaned. The bed-clothes was full of mysterious stains. The bed was horrible to sleep in and you could feel every spring in the madress. We had room 817 and next to it there was a cleaning room that made a lot of noise the whole night.

However the locations is excellent, a great view from the restaurant overlooking Athens. The breakfast was okey.

Arriving I insisted on taking the Metro to the Hotel from the Airport. It was the easiest thing I've done in a while. In less than 100 metres of exiting the airport terminal, I was on the platform of the train. In about 45 minutes, I had arrived at Syntagma Square.

Metro The metro is very easy to use. 80 euro's for a single trip - don;t forget to validate your ticket before you board because the fine if they catch you is 60 times the fare price!
