Metro Take the Metro from the airport to Akropoli, its only .80 euros vs. the 35 euro cab ride. It takes you to less than a block from the hostel.

Excellent public transport. Buy underground tickets in advance either on a daily or weekly basis.

getting a taxo there is no easy way to get a taxi... just walk or find someone who can speak greek and get them to hail a cab for you.... but you dont need a taxi in athens... you can walk everywhere or get the metro.the more you walk the more you see... athens is a living museum
