This has to be one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. It is desperately in need of renovation. The dark wood panelling everwhere makes me wonder what exactely it is hiding. The reception area was fine but there it ends. The breakfast was the same every morning hard cold boiled eggs, when peeled were a nasty off white greeny colour.cold meat and cheese, instant coffee I could go on. The bedroom was horrible. All the time we were there I did not see or hear a vacuub cleaner. Our bedroom carpet was disgusting, I would not have gone bare foot. The worst was yet to come. On our last evening, on retiring for bed a cockroach ran across the bedside table, on further inspection there was another one in our empty plastic beaker, which my husband managed to contain,as evidence to show the management. By this time I was in a state of shock. Non the less we tried to rest. Around 3am I put the light on only to see yet another very large cockroach on my husbands pillow, well, all hope of sleep had now left me. In the morning we told the manager, he came across as very uninterested, when I suggested they may have a infestation he dismissed it. I know that part of the world does have insects of all kinds.I think the manager should take note of what his customers are saying and do something about it. This hotel is dirty and that is what you can see, so I would hate to see behind the scenes. Apart from all of this it is very central and you can get cheap deals. But please be warned.

me and my family stayed at the hotel because of its central location. The reception area is the nice part, after that it goes down hill. Firstly the room was dirty, we found condoms, ladies tights under the bed as well as being extremely dusty, our youngest child had her feet and knees all black from just the carpet. The cot mattresses were also dirty. When we confronted the reception they could only shrug their shoulders and said these things happen! Also in the breakfast lounge the maintenance staff find it normal to stop there for the their breaks and smoke whilst your eating. If you can stomach this the location is good!!!

The folk here were really nice and this hotel could be so much better. The pool, bar, reception are really nice, clean and very nice, what lets it down is the dark wood panelling in the halls, the different levels on the same floor and the carpeted floors! Its very 'British' in this respect. Whip it all out and it would a really great hotel. The whole place was lovely and clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
