Advertised as Aircon, direct phone and satellite. aircon and phone not working, TV set so bad not watchable button missing on set. Two lights not working. Room not serviced one day. Shower holder broken. Staff kind but powerless to do anything.

Well furnished and appointed bedrooms with lots of little touches and elegant spacious public rooms. Loved the little time warp bar with wisteria festooned terrace beyond it, excellent bar snacks. Wholesome breakfast with bewildering options. Very attentative staff in all departments. Free e-mail facility. Fabulous views over the town and bay. Dockyard noise could be annoying sitting out on one's balcony. Easy walk into town, but a bit of a grind to back again, but a bus passes the door and taxis are cheap.
Good short break flight and hotel deals available. Will certainly use the hotel again.
