Road and dockland noise 24hours a day with doors, room 428, that do not close or lock, leaking sewage from the lavatory reported but left and staff when you report faults tell you there is no money as the plans are to demolish the hotel and build apartments. We have been twice before, now it is a run down dive.

You have been warned

This has to be one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. It is desperately in need of renovation. The dark wood panelling everwhere makes me wonder what exactely it is hiding. The reception area was fine but there it ends. The breakfast was the same every morning hard cold boiled eggs, when peeled were a nasty off white greeny colour.cold meat and cheese, instant coffee I could go on. The bedroom was horrible. All the time we were there I did not see or hear a vacuub cleaner. Our bedroom carpet was disgusting, I would not have gone bare foot. The worst was yet to come. On our last evening, on retiring for bed a cockroach ran across the bedside table, on further inspection there was another one in our empty plastic beaker, which my husband managed to contain,as evidence to show the management. By this time I was in a state of shock. Non the less we tried to rest. Around 3am I put the light on only to see yet another very large cockroach on my husbands pillow, well, all hope of sleep had now left me. In the morning we told the manager, he came across as very uninterested, when I suggested they may have a infestation he dismissed it. I know that part of the world does have insects of all kinds.I think the manager should take note of what his customers are saying and do something about it. This hotel is dirty and that is what you can see, so I would hate to see behind the scenes. Apart from all of this it is very central and you can get cheap deals. But please be warned.
