Avery pleasant stay.

I stayed at this hotel during Oktoberfest 2006 and was very pleasantly surprised that for a suppossed 'budget' category hotel it exceeded all my expectations.It should surely be categorised more highly,as it was immaculately clean,with modern facilities,excellent friendly staff,good food and very accessible[I could walk from the main rail station with my wheeled case ,in just over five minutes!].
I would not hesitate to use this hotel again and I class myself as quite selective ,in the accommodation I choose.
A great place !.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights with our 2 year old. The place was clean, warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive with good travel/food advice and they were always quick to give our son some attention, a quick German lanquage lesson or a small gift.

The morning breakfast buffet was just what it should be, with plenty of good quality items offered. The cozy little bar was a nice spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

I highly recommend the Jedermann with its excellent service, reasonable pricing, nice rooms, warm atmosphere and great location (bus and electric train right there and a short distance to the main train station).

Hotel Jedermann is located no more than a 12-15 minute walk up Bayerstrasse from the Hauptbahnhof which is a safe area and incomparable with our grotty Kings Cross Station and surrounding area (worth getting a taxi if you've got heavy luggage). The hotel is very basic but extremely clean and tidy. All the staff are superb with excellent English spoken, 'R' in reception was especially helpful, thank you. Tickets for all local transport can be bought at the hotel (17 Euros for a 24hr multi pass good value if travelling around a lot) and the ground floor of the Galeria hof on the corner of Karlsplatz has a ticket office where you can buy Bayern Munich football tickets (WITH CASH ONLY - no credit cards). The hotel has a good choice of breakfast and although very basic we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it - those who sleep lightly would benefit from ear plugs as a nearby church bell can be heard with room windows open. In 2002 we had been in Garmish-PartenKirchen for a few days and went into Munich for two nights before we caught our plane to the US. We stayed at the Jedermann on a friend's recommendation

This year, we returned for 8 days to Munich, and there was no question where we would stay -- at the Jedermann again. The staff is great and protective, and can help you or sell you tickets for the metro.

The location is ideal with the the Tram stop in front of the hotel. Two tram stops and you are at the central train station where you can catch commuter trains all over the city or trains to other places in Germany or Europe.

The breakfasts are expansive. A typical German breakfast includes cold-cuts, boild eggs, cheeses, breads and (always) some kind of fish. Enjoy!

Yes, the rooms are small by US standards, but they are clean and the showers are just great. We stayed for 85 euros per night, which included the breakfast, and all taxes.

If we go to Munich again, we will book Jedermann. They are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and for good cause.

My family and I stayed at the Hotel Jedermman for three nights in July, 2006. While certainly not a luxurious "resort" hotel, it's a great place to stay while visiting Munich. It's very clean and the service was outstanding. It's small enough that the staff recognize you. They were very helpful in providing suggestions on restaurants, transportation, etc. Out of five hotels we stayed at during our Germany trip, the breakfast at the Jedermann was far and away the best in terms of quality, variety and interesting foods. The only downside ot the Jederman is that it is on "wrong side" of the train station if most of your activities center around the Alstadt. However, once the staff helped us figure out the bus system, that problem was reduced dramatically.

My wife and I recently spent 14 days at the Hotel Jedermann. We visited Munich for the World Cup. Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations. It's location is great only a short stroll from the main railway station which is just off the main city centre. The staff were exceptionally friendly and did everything they could to make our stay an enjoyable one. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the breakfast was superb. The choice for breakfast was unreal there was so much there. We were sad to leave the hotel. The people were so sincere and helpful it was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Of all our travels in Eurpoe this is by far the best hotel we've stayed at. Go on give yourself a treat. Stay at the Hotel Jedermann and enjoy the wonderfull city of Munich

I booked the Hotel Jedermann at the last minute for a work trip and it was excellent. Staff über-friendly and helpful, the room was a good-sized double even though I was booking just a single room. The decor is a little dated but everything is very clean and the service is great. Better than anywhere else I've stayed in Munich for the money.

We found Hotel Jedermann a great stay last weekend, staff were very friendly and helpful, providing tips on transportation and things to do in Munich. Conveniently located about 7 mins walk from the station, it is situated next to the tram stop. Extensive selection for our buffet breakfast, clean and modern decorated rooms, free internet added to our enjoyable experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Good hotel, good location, good value

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The location is excellent. Just a few blocks from the main train station – no problem with luggage. A few blocks further to the old town with its sights or some first-class museums.

It’s also just a few blocks from the Wiesn (Oktoberfest), but I needn’t have worried. We really didn’t hear a peep during the night. (Of course we had a few Mass ourselves, but still).

The place was surprisingly large. Furnishings were simple but looked new. Bed was comfortable, and there were extra pillows. The bathroom was a little small (shower only, no tub) but clean and everything worked just fine. On the downside, the shower had temperature and pressure fluctuations when everyone gets up at the same time.

Breakfast was a very nice buffet with a large selection.

Service was generally good, although Oktoberfest seemed to stress the staff out a bit.

The price was quite a bit lower than what other, similar hotels charged during this time.

All in all, I would be happy to come back here.

Top Local Tips for Munich

Trams The trams are brilliant. They run on time (every 10 minutes) and are fast, warm and efficient. A 3 day pass (for example) is very economical, and you can go everywhere on the trams.

Hotels and Dining This hotel is very reasonable - even inexpensive - when compared to others listed on the internet. But, in the hotel room, there was a directory of hotels that was even less expensive and that do not even come up on the internet. ------- Trying to find a place to eat was a challenge. It took us a couple days to recognize what a restaurant looks like or where they are hidden. First time outside the USA for us and first time in Bavaria. We laugh now but we must be the only ones that could not find a place to eat in Marienplatz.

Shops are closed on Sundays Remember that all stores are closed on Sundays. You can't even buy diapers for kids. Plan your time in advance.
