Great Hotel
from Mychelle99
This was a very nice hotel, and we found the staff in both the restaurant and the hotel desk to be very helpful. The rooms were very nice and the restaurant was very good. They even let us check out late! We would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to this area. It is in a perfect location to see both castles. We will be back.
Nice home for 3 days

We just returned from Germany and spent three nights at Hotel Muller. The room was comfortable and large. We had a patio - not balcony overlooking the castel. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast good. Dinner was OK, but a bit expensive. The location is perfect. I'd give the hotel 4 stars while my date would give it 5.
Nice, but not excellent
from finickytripper
Reading the other reviews, perhaps having had dinner at the hotel would have pushed our opinion over the top. But the hotel didn't seem to have many suggestions for vegetarians, so we went elsewhere to eat. Further, the room we had was acceptable and comfortable, but not stellar.
We didn't have a view of either castle. The decor of the room left something to be desired, especially with the burnt orange colors in the bathroom. And showering was a bit frustrating with the lack of any shower curtain or fixed shower head. Internet access was via the hotel's own office computer, leading to some privacy/security concerns, but was typical for Europe.
Overall, however, the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is superb and pretty quiet, and the breakfast was among the most complete we had in Europe. (They will even prepare eggs upon request, which was a differentiator from the other similarly priced places we stayed.)

My family visited in August of 2004. We booked 2 rooms for the Castle Package (it was a good value). It was wonderful. Our balcony looked out on Hohenshwangau and the dining room on Neuschwanstein. We walked to both castles. On the day we did not tour the castles we walked around the lake. We ate at various places for lunch, but our 5 course dinner on the day we arrived impressed our teenage boys and my husband. The second night, our boys went to a local restaurant for pizza and my husband and I had a romantic dinner at the hotel. We had fresh fruit in our rooms, the service was wonderful and the breakfast was sumptious. There is not one negative thing I could say about this hotel. I booked this hotel based on the reviews on Trip Advisor.

Is you are looking for a stunning location full of romance and impeccable service and sophistication, then Hotel Mueller is the place. All of the Mueller team are extremely attentive, from the big smile and greeting with Helga to the supreme food and wine knowledge of Ralph, and all the waiting staff. Day trips are available and when we stayed at Christmas the local church service and feeding the deer was truly a fairytale come true. Not to mention the skiing!
This destination is an absolute must!

The hotel is marvelous. The view, location and service have no equal. With excellent food and very comfortable rooms. I have stayed in the hotel on several occassions, always enjoying the trip to the utmost!

Charming, superb food, and polite, helpful service. Stayed here for 3 nights with castle arrangements in a room with direct view of Hohenschwangau castle. Definitely could have stayed longer. I was served a 5 course dinner that I will never forget - lobster bisque, salad, filet with morel sauce, cheese platter, cappachino... all served with wonderful service at a table looking directly at Neuschwanstein castle. It could not have been a better experience. Room was very clean and had a nice, clean bathroom. Everyone working there smiled, was polite, and hospitable. I will definitely go back someday when in this area again. Hotel Muller should have many stars in guide books. The town it is in - there are many walking paths nearby and less than 0.5 km from lake that has swans and ducks. It is truly a wonderful place to relax and vacation. I have many pictures and memories. I do not have any negative comments about this hotel or town - it is all good.
Wondeful place!

We stayed in this hotel in July 2002. In addition to the wonderful location, the hotel itself is lovely. Our room was beautiful and our window faced Neuschwanstein Castle. The staff was courteous and accomodating...even offering me tea while I used the hotel computer. We had a marvelous meal in the hotel restaurant. You won't be disappointed by a stay at Hotel Mueller.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! We loved this hotel!! This hotel has one of the most spectacular locations in the world. One side of the hotel looks at King Ludwig's Schloss Neuschwanstein and the other side has a view of his parents palace Hohenschwangau. The hotel has excellent restaurants. The more formal dining room has wonderful Bavarian food and a spectacular view of Neuschwanstein. Our rooms were on the Hohenschwangau side. We were travelling with our two kids so we needed two rooms. The rooms are large, a little dated, but very clean. Both of our rooms had large balconies with patio furniture.
You can walk out of Hotel Mueller and hop on a carriage for a ride to Neuschwanstein and the carriage to Hohenschwangau is just 100 feet away. There is a beautiful lake nearby. It was a wonderful experience. King Ludwig may have spent all of the country's money in his time but his castles make for huge tourist profits for the area now! Don't miss touring Schloss Linderhof, Ludwig's castle and grotto about an hour away.
We stayed at the hotel in June 2004 for two nights. We toured Neuschwanstein in the morning and Hohenschawangau in the same afternoon. The hotel will assist you with tickets purchases.
