My German is poor to say the least and so I was relieved to find that the staff are able to converse in English to some degree. The staff are friendly and happy to help, although I did find that problems, namely mislabelling laundry with the wrong room numbers, charging the cost of a stamp to the wrong room and miscounting the number of drinks purchased in the bar. These though were minor mistakes and quickly recified.
The rooms are clean and functional, offering a reasonably comfortable bed to sleep on. The television offers numerous German television channels, as well as CNN for English speakers. The bathroom is small but kept in good condition. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly each morning by friendly cleaning staff.
Apparently this hotel boasts a Michalin Star awarded kitchen; the food certainly bears testiment to this fact. All meals eaten at the hotel were of a high standard and not prohibitively expensive. The menu is changed often to provide some variety. The drinks menu offers a wide choice of wines but seems slightly over priced.
