| We got stuck here for the night when our Lufthansa flight was cancelled. I suspect the hotel gets its major business this way. Dear God, no one would stay here on purpose.
Decor: Stark. Low budget Ikea. No door on the closet (intentional -- not missing). A tiny bit of style here and there, which is why it gets a 2 and not a 1.
Restaurant: You have to eat here; there's nowhere else to go. It's buffet style, so nothing's fresh (the salad greens were fresh, surprisingly). Really unattractive to the eye, but not quite as bad as it looks. Another reason it gets a 2 instead of a 1. Think American home cooking on an off night. You won't starve, but you wouldn't want to actually have to pay for this.
Clean: yes. Room reasonably sized. Bathroom bright, if spartan.
Sleeping: comfortable cotton linen, good feather pillow. Bed so-so. If you want two pillows, you have to ask for an extra. My boyfriend asked for one and they brought it quickly.
Summary: If you're stuck here, it's not the end of the world. But it looks like it. |
