Shop at Kaufhof From Hotel Scala, take the S-bahn one stop down to Hauptwache (or you can walk). There you will find Hako Shoes, Kaufhof, Esprit, Bennetton, etc. More economical shopping can be found at C&A department store, right next to Konstablerwache S-Bahn train station, down the street from Hotel Scala. Take the U-Bahn two stops to the Romer, the most historic part of Frankfurt. There lies the Rathouse, and quaint city square. Street performers, outdoor cafes, bakeries and historic cathedral and worth exploring. Take the walking bridge across the Main River to Sachsen Hausen, the historic bar district.
