Top Local Tips for Dusseldorf

Kirch Kirch (not sure of the correct spelling) is a speciality beer from Cologne. Whatever you do, don't ask for it in Dusseldorf where the local beer is known as Alt and asking for a rival beer will land you in hot water.

ALSTADT Go to the old town - there are bars and restaurants galore. If you can't find anything here then your much to fussy and need to learn how to relax - try the Hotel Nikko Spa facilities - it only costs 15 Euro!

Public transport timetables Catch the bus from Weeze airport located just outside the terminal building. However, be careful on the way home - we waited 3 hours in the middle of the night for the only bus to back to Weeze which didn't show up. We ended up paying 90 euros for a taxi as the trains would have got us back too late for our flight.
