Great location and friendly staff. Rooms are old and quite used and worn, but very clean.

The Top Olivaer is a 1920's, or even a bit earlier, building with mixed residential/professional and tourist occupancy. Architecturally pleasing, (some renovation/repairs going on when I visited) clean, but basic. The location is very good, and there is a lively Cuban bar/ restaurant (QBA) directly underneath - Salsa and Cuba Libres at good prices till quite late.

Leysieffer Chocolatiers For chocolate lovers, Leysieffer has a shop on Ku'Damm. Its two blocks east of the hotel on the southside of the street. For those of you who have never had their confections, they have a lot of wonderful chocolate recipes, including a lusty white chocolate champagne truffle. . .
Beautiful City This city is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. If felt very safe , people were very friendly and helpful. Shops very expensive,but very reasonable to eat and drink out in many of the wonderful places available. Bus tour one of the main to do things, excellent value and really interesting .
