Food was amazing - the restaurant is open to the public so they can't get away with serving the sort of rubbish you'd usually get at a half-board hotel. We ate at the hotel every night which is very rare for us but there was a fabulous variation of meals offered.

The room was modest size but perfectly clean and great vues. The hotel had wireless internet access which was a deciding factor for us when booking.

Located about 100m from the slopes - but was taking us around 5mins until we found the elevator in the shop next door!

Highly recommended for the friendly and helpful staff as well as the excellent cuisine. Val Thorens is just about the highest resort in Europe so snow is guaranteed.

Sports Centre If it is too windy to ski, there is a Sports Centre with a pool, squash courts, table tennis, badminton and there is also a bowling alley in Val Thorens.

Ignore the brochure transfer time Be prepared for a very long transfer to and from Chambrey airport (6hrs is not unusual).
