We spent two weeks here; one in March and the other in April. Both times we spent a very relaxed holiday with great skiing.

This is a family owned hotel and the facilities (spa etc) are very good and recently revamped. The food in the restaurant is simply the best I have eaten in any ski resort, bearing in mind this is a two star hotel. For the food alone it should be a four star hotel. Good basic wine list too. There is a great brasserie as well which is part of the hotel and although we ate lunch on the mountain a few times, we kept coming back here; good pizzas, salads, and foie gras
The rooms are small and pretty simple, but comfortable. Breakfast could be better.
However, given the position, the friendly staff, the food and the service, this is THE hotel in Tignes unless you want to bee 'seen'. Will go back every season!!

This was once one of the best restaurants in the region, and even on bad days it was excellent. However, in recent years and particularly the last season the standard of cooking has deteriorated. It's still ok, but not worth the big detour that it once warranted.

I spend one week during December in this hotel and even it was quite expensive for somebody from eastern europe we was happy we choose this hotel. I is small chalet with authentic atmosphere. Rooms are small quite small, they have just two hairdryers for all hotel. But service is excelent. I recomend half board, restaurant is one of the best in Tignes. There is sauna, steam and jacuzzi in hotel, even all is a bit older it provides you great relaxation after skiing. Slopes are in walking distance. If you don't need 4stars hotel and would like enjoy atmosphere of being at mountains i recommend avoid big hotels or apartments and choose small cottage like l'arbina.
