Top Local Tips for Strasbourg

Cheap entry to Strasbourg attractions The first Sunday of the month has free entry to museums, the cathedral viewing platform, etc so take full advantage! Also get a 'Strasbourg pass' - you may be offered a voucher for this if you book through Eurostar so make sure you print it off and take it with you. The Pass gives you free or discounted entry to may attractions for 3 days (although no-one checked the dates on ours). We saw 5 museums, the cathedral viewing platform (fantastic panoramic views over the city) and a 1hour 10 min boat trip for only 4 euros!

Boat Trip Take the boat trip round the town, at 7 euros it represents good value for money and gives a good insight on the history of Strasbourg

Batorama From the Cathedral, head down to the water toward Palais des Rohan and you will see the Batorama stand. Do yourself a favor and take this trip around the city, via a glass topped boat. The tour takes about an hour and a half, and there are several departure times during the day. This tour is conducted through headphones and recorded messages in a plethora of different languages, and if we understood correctly, they even have a kids version, recited by a kid and not some stuffy, old grownup. Discounts are given to groups of 10 or more and additional discounts are given if your group takes one of the morning tours.
