So relieved to find a lovely clean hotel, welcoming staff without exception and a good restaurant after our horrible stay at Comfort Hotel La Chapelle-St-Luc, Troyes.(Unwelcoming staff, unironed pillowcases etc.)

Nice hotel. Good connection to the center.
BUT a digital camara was missed from the room.

Top Local Tips for Strasbourg

Walk to town Walk round the parking lot to the back of the hotel and walk a few steps to the river path. Walk along the river till you reach the railway bridge. Climb the steps and cross the bridge. Walk to the next bridge then go up to the road turning left then head towards Petite France then look for the cathedral spire and head for the old town.

Visit Saverne Strasbourg had some great qualities that we enjoyed - however, we did make a daytrip ( 20 mins by train) to Saverne - we would have enjoyed our stay in the Strasbourg area more if we had gone directly to Saverne - it's a jewel - next time that's what we will do.
