Is this really 4 star???
In our view, this is definitely one to miss. Descriptions on the internet (on various sites) sounded great. You get your own private thatched hut, which was comfortable, though not 4 star. There was a pungent smell of stale water. However, we were reasonably happy until the evening - when we discovered we had our own complimentary bat in the room, swooping around while we were getting ready. The hotel seemed to find this hilarious and promised to remove it while we had dinner. It was then that they told us the restaurant was shut that evening. When we returned from the town by car at around 10.45ish we had been locked out of the hotel compound, having not been told anything about locking up times. My finace had to scale the gate and get help (not from staff who were nowhere to be seen). That night we were woken up by the bat circling the room.
