Historical Traveller Reviews of Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel

nice place for an overnight layover

from stmcki
had layover in paris on way home. used points to stay here, so can't comment on rates. but the hotel is nice. quiet as a mouse, no noise whatsoever from the airport right outside the window. staff was extrememly friendly and helpful. nice size room. separate tub and shower.
if you've got a layover at CDG, this is nice and convenient. I walked over from terminal c and checked right in. walked right out the door and over to my flight. easy to get into paris for an evening.

Eh - you pay for convenience

from kelangst
This hotel is typical of the Sheraton brand, but you pay quite heavily for the convenience. It is nestled right between terminals 2B and 2C and is a quick walk to the check-in lines for your flights (and by the way - the check-in lines and security lines have been very very long already this summer so get there early).

Amazingly the hotel is extremely quiet. Never heard even one airplane during my stay which was nice. Breakfast was excellent, the bathroom was well appointed, and generally the room was ok. But honestly ... you are paying WAY TOO MUCH for what you get at this hotel. You must be paying at least 100 Euros a night for the convenience factor.

So... the hotel is ok.. but very very expensive.

Quiet hotel in midst of activity

from kathyw
We stayed at the Sheraton for the first night of our stay in Paris and the last night. In each case, the room we stayed in was quiet and comfortable. Extremely quiet.
Jet lagged, we could only handle a trip in to the city on the Roissy bus on the first day - and then, we were lost and it was the concierge at the Sheraton who directed us back to the Roissy bus stop by phone!
By the last day of our trip, we were more adventurous. We went down stairs right outside the front door of the Sheraton and caught the RER into St. Germaine for dinner. It could not have been more convenient. It was the concierge again who made us feel safe because he said to beware that the trains on the way back can go either to CDG or Mitry. I was really not in the mood to be stuck in another place at night so I was glad for the warning!
Location, quiet, comfort and security - they are almost all trumped by the excellent food in the restaurant. There were two - the brasserie style restaurant and the traditional. I had one of the most memorable meals in Paris there and the other was at the Jules Verne (one star Michelin restaurant in the Eiffel Tower)! Can't recommend the luxury experience of the Sheraton enough!

good but very expensive

from rzrz
nice hotel for stayover in paris. convenient for train into city and for shuttles to all terminals. price too high usually but it is very clean and quite quiet. not overly crowded due to high price

Ideally located directly in the airport

from germanolatino
I know many, many airport-hotels but this one is for me absolutely the best! Perfect for an overnight-stay between two flights, you WALK from and to your planes; the staff is extremely professionnel and friendly, the rooms wonderfully furnished and functional, absolute quietness... The restaurants are a little expensive but very good, wonderful service.I strongly recommend this hotel to business-travellers. Internet-price is very reasonable!

Convenient Luxury

from brazilconsultant
You cannot beat the combination of location and luxury in this hotel. I used it because I had a late evening arrival in Paris and an early morning train the following day. I couldn't have spent a stay of 9 hours better. The hotel sits in the middle of the terminal 2 complex at CDG and directly above the train station connecting the airport to Paris and via TGV trains to the major cities of Europe. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The staff was very accommodating with services I needed and the coffee shop provided an excellent, if simple late supper.

Great location

from denealio
A great option for connecting at CDG airport.

Besides literally being attached to the train station and terminal 2 at CDG, the hotel has great design and services.

I was lucky to use Starwood points, otherwise it's a very expensive hotel and maybe not worth it depending on the current rates.

My only gripe is wi-fi, which was priced at 30 EURO for a day!!! (about $36USD!) Wired internet in the room was a little cheaper at 8 EURO/hour.

Contrary to what others have said, it's very convienent to go into the city center for the day or an afternoon via the RER B train. The last train from the city to CDG is around midnight. There is also the direct Opera bus wich runs from 6am - midnight. Best bet it to buy a 1 day unlimited pass for 1-5 zones for 11.70 EURO. You need the full 5 zones for trains or Opera bus to/from CDG.

Terminals 2D & 2F have great options directly from the hotel for cafes, mini-markets, pharmacy and stores without needing to go outside or through security.

s only good for the location

My wife and two babies stayed at this hotel. I had booked a suite and upon check-in the front desk told me that I could not be in a suite with two adults and two babies; max. occupancy for a suite is 3 persons...so I had to get two separate rooms. Beware if you are a Starwood Preferred Guest Gold or Platinum Card Holder, this hotel NEVER upgrades their guests. The room is always adequate at the Sheraton Paris however not worth what you are asked to pay for it...stay at the Hyatt Paris Airport instead...better rooms and less in price. You of course cannot beat the location of this hotel especially if you are transferring flights from 2F and 2E at CDG. Room service was very quick and good. The carpet in my babies room adjoining us was stained very bad and the cribs that they have at this hotel are laundry baskets converted into make-shift cribs...so BEWARE again for those traveling with infants, they are not prepared.

High-end hotel at CDG Airport

from OneFairCall
We stayed at the Sheraton in June 2005. Its location right in the airport is very convenient for morning departures. Terminal 2 is a short walk away offering easy access to both the airline desks and car rental agencies. The interior of the hotel is strikingly modern and elegant. Our room was large and very well furnished and had a spacious bathroom. Both the room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. The room offered English language TV, A/C and computer internet access to the hotel’s network via an RJ-45 jack. One can also connect via the hotel’s telephone line using an RJ-11 jack but one needs to negotiate reasonable phone charges with the front desk beforehand.

Although we could see the runways from our room, the soundproofing was so excellent that we could not hear any noise at all. The hotel provides free shuttle service to all the terminals. The major problem with the Sheraton is the overcharging on some fronts. The restaurants are overpriced; for more reasonably-priced food one can walk to Terminal 2. The fee charged at the business center for internet access is beyond belief; however the fee for in-room access to the hotel’s network with your own computer is reasonable.

Excellent hotel

from Braindrain
As with most people, I stayed here for one night. Being actually in CDG T2, it's extremely convenient. It's located where the two sides of T2 merge so it's easy to get to either side. The room was very nicely furnished, had a huge king+ sized bed, high speed internet, mini-fridge, and so on. The only gripe is the washroom. It's very tiny and had a separate shower and tub. I would have preferred them to take out the shower and free up the space.

Check in and concierge were very helpful. They have a two restaurants and a sports bar. Within T2, there aren't many other food offerings. We were able to find Flo Brasserie in T2F but I don't think it saved us much money. The food was decent.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. However, I certainly wouldn't use it as a base to visit Paris. It's much too far away.

Top Local Tips for Roissy En France

Train stop at midnight Beware - the trains back from the center of Paris top at midnight and that can leave you stranded or shelling out for an expensive taxi ride back to the hotel.

The Paris suburban Rail line RER B This rail line runs from platform 43 at Gare du Nord to right underneath the SHERATON - you just take the escalator up 2 floors and you see the entrance to the hotel.

Sheraton at Charles DeGaulle Airport, Pairs France I would not recommend counting on your reservations at this hotel. They refused to honor ours, although we had already paid and confirmed weeks in advance. The night manager, Maria, is a very nasty person. Fortunately we had no young children, it would be awful to arrive with young kids and have your reservations so messed up and be left with not enough places to sleep.
