I went to Perpignan with my husband for a cheap weekend break. We cannot fault the service and friendliness of the owner and staff at the Hotel Aragon. Whilst the decor is in need of an update, the hotel itself was spotlessly clean, with all amenities in working order. The owners could not have been more helpful, without being intrusive. If the decor was updated I would give this hotel 10/10!!

A place to spend the night and that is all. Dismal, shaby rooms and very old fashioned.. What a shame this hotel has a lot going for it but is stuck in a time warp due to lack of investment. A very very gloomy experience but cheap.

Top Local Tips for Perpignan

Beaches We took a trip to the town of Coullioure which was fantastic - much better than any other beach towns in the Languedoc-Rousillon. I really recommend going there for the day - it's beautiful. But make sure you grab the first parking space you find even if it's a bit out of town, and then walk in.

Once in Perpignan visit Collioure Take the train to Collioure from Perpignan leave in the morning come back in the afternoon.

getting around I would reccommend anyone to hire a car and get out and see the area
