Conmen and women around the landmarks If you are English, you tend to get approached many times by bosnian women who will come and ask you if you are english and then produce a card to your face in english asking for money. They tend to work in groups and tend to prey on english people. I know this as my husband was approached by one and replied in french that he was german and was subsequently left alone. At Monmarte, african and moroccon men will also ask if you are English and proceed to start weaving a cotton bracelet around your hand whilst making friendly conversation. They will then demand 5 euros each for the bracelet they have just made for you but you didn't ask for. THis was seen time and time again to other english people. We gave ours to our children as presents. We haggled a price and if you really want one for your children or for yourself, you could probably get them down to 2 or 3 euros but do it before they start making it.

Best way to travel from the Orly Airport We have found that the best way to arrive from Orly Airport to the city center (Montparnasse) are the "Les Car" AirFrance. They have a low price and are really very fast.You can buy the tickets directlly on the bus.We book the hotel in Montpanasse, so there we avoid long transfers in the subway with the heavy luggages.
