We loved this hotel! For the price, it was a great bargain. (We paid about $120 US for 3 people in a nice size room. The third bed was a sleeper sofa.) Our room was off an interior courtyard, which was so charming and quiet. The room was clean, the bathroom was small, but impeccable and there was plenty of air-conditioning. The location was very near the Gare Montparnesse, 2 metro stops and a bus station, so we could get all over Paris easily. The green market was just at the end of the street and a huge supermarket was only 1 block away, as well as the Galleries Lafayette, many restaurants, cafes and shops, so we could do so much just a few steps from the hotel door. The staff was extremely helpful. We will return there whenever we are in Paris.

Good Budget Choice

We booked this hotel for a weekend break in Paris and we loved it. It's perfect for budget travelers as the rates are not too expensive and the location is fairly central.

A couple of things to remember when staying at this hotel: 1) room sizes: when we checked in, we were allocated a tiny room. When I say tiny, I mean tiny. We went down to reception and asked if we could have a larger room. The receptionist was very helpful and moved us to a slightly larger room with windows overlooking the street. 2) breakfast: the breakfast room is quite small so if you don't want to wait around to be seated, try and have it earlier rather than later. The food and coffee are delicious. 3) restaurants: there are lots of nice restaurants nearby, the Japanese one just across the square is particularly good (and cheap). 4) Food market: there's a food market every weekend, great to pick up French cheeses and cold meats to take back home.

The hotel is located a short metro ride from the centre making it a good choice for weekend trips.

They Sure Tricked Us!

The lobby is very pleasant and quiet and the help behind the desk is very friendly. Be careful making reservations over the internet though because the picture they supply is very misleading! Me and my two friends had just arrived in Paris and had a reservation at this hotel. We made only one reservation for our whole trip in thought that we would like a nice place to come directly to from the airport and shower and unload our giant bags. Well we made a reservation for a triple room and spent more money than I would ever dream on spending on a room. I believe it came to approximately $200 USD. Anyhow when the concierge opened the door to the room we almost started laughing. The room was small and cramped with only a full size bed in it--then they went ahead and added a rickety old cot to accommodate the third person. We couldn't even walk through our room without hopping over the cot! It was very uncomfortable for the one who had to sleep on the cot and we were all sore the next day from kicking ourselves for spending that much money. We learned our lesson though and checked every room thereafter before agreeing to purchase. Thank you Unic Renoir St Germain!

Metro tickets. We saw signs at Waterloo saying we could buy our metro tickets there. When we got to Paris we wished we had because the queues were huge!

You will go to Versailles, maybe to Euro Disney and other small towns - so just keep it simple - it gives you the best bang for your buck and you can use Metro, RER, SNCF and bus - no need to worry about transfers or other tickets.
