Don't give credit card over email!

We had booked to stay here but cancelled three weeks beforehand - fulfilling the hotel's cancellation policy - because our dates changed and we no longer wanted to stay. The hotel still charged our Visa and has refused to acknowledge my cancellation emails (which the server did NOT return!)despite my continued polite pleas and proof of email from my 'sent items' box. Beware of this establishment and certainly don't give your credit details unless you are 100% sure of your dates!
Not worth the visit!

Visited Sunny on 6/19/2004, left on 6/20, we stayed on 3rd floor in rm 33. Hotel has (small) elevator; hall light turns off automatically after too short a time. Found the room to be quite small, hard to walk around, but most of all stuffy. No A/C (not a surprise), so you have to open the window to get ventilation. Window opens on a busy street, so with window open it is loud in the room, thus you have choice - stuffy & quiet, or noisy & not. There are some rooms in back (I didn't see, don't know how many or the view) but they were all filled.
Bathroom is 6 by 4 feet, includes tiny shower, toilet, and sink.
Single closet, one night table.
Parking is on-street, you have to pay by the hour (or risk getting a ticket) and parking is very hard to find. Hotel provides no parking options (suggested using a parking lot 2 km away)
Desk personnel said they spoke English, spoke broken English, got upset when they misunderstood us (we spoke more English than they understood, I guess).
Breakfast room is in basement, is small, of course.
We guaranteed room with credit card, and on checkout found we had to pay cash!!!
CREDIT CARD WARNING USE WARNING. One of our cards were used fradulently. Here's what happened.
Using secure site, gave credit card# to confirm. Received email saying credit card didn't work, could we send another. Sent other card number broken up in two separate emails. A couple of days later the credit card company called to ask if we had purchased $1400 computer equipment over the Internet from a Canadian company!!! SUGGESTION: Only deal with this hotel through their secure website.
BOTTOM LINE: Will I stay there again? No. Suggest: Ibis (3 locations in Paris, slightly more expensive but worth it - IMHO).

Top Local Tips for Paris
arrival from charles de gaulle Make sure if you are taking the RER line to paris from the airport that you secure a ticket ahead of time. I did not find where to purchase a ticket at Charles de Gaulle and to be honest to this day I still don't know (I looked when I was leaving) but you can get on the train without having one. However when you get off in Paris, you can not get out of the station without putting a ticket in the machine to open the doors. The ticket window was also on the other side of the turnstyles so it did me no good and there was no one/ or place to ask for help. After standing around for like 20 minutes debating on what to do and looking stupid, i decided that I was going to sneak through behind another customer with a ticket. I did so succesfully but don't recommend this strategy, only in the county for 2 hours and already breaking the law :-).
Museum Pass I would highly recommend getting a museum pass and visiting all the museums during the week ratehr than on the weekends. It was definitely worth it's value and we avaoided line-ups
