I've stayed in this hotel on two occasions - in 2004 and 2005. The second time, my wife and I stayed there. The location is excellent- the Marais repays a lot of time spent strolling - the front of house staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms, while small, are in very good condition (and the lift is tiny!). The second time we stayed - with a short break to go driving in the south of France - we had a wonderful balcony room. I'd happily return, and I have recommended this hotel to friends and colleagues.

My wife and I spent two weeks at this hotel in May 1999 and greatly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is conveniently located near many historic sites such as Notre Dame, the Place des Vosges, etc. and is only one block from the Saint Paul Metro station.Many good restaurants are also nearby.The hotel is very clean (they even shampooed the carpets of our room !)and the cafe au lait and croissants at breakfast are delicious. The hotel also has the smallest elevator I have ever seen, but it serves its purpose. Overall, this hotel is a very good value in a very good location.

Top Local Tips for Paris
Ste Chappelle and the Marine Museum (next to the Museum of Man) Do not skip Ste Chappelle! It is spectacular. Even for non-mariners, the Marine Museum has much of interest. And if you are a fan of the Aubrey-Maturin novels of Patrick O'Brian, you will see models of the ships in the novels (to be clear, the ships came first). Teens, older primary-school students, adults will all find things of interest.
how to get from DeGaulle to Paris The best way to do this is to use the train (RER) which can be accesed from terminal 2. Ask! It is the best and fastest for the money. The public transportation in Paris, and all of France for that matter, makes arriving, departing and getting around in general a breeze!
RER Always try to just take the RER into town. It is So much cheaper and easier than getting a taxi.
