So handy to all the Parisian sights and the tube is only a stroll away. Friendly helpful staff. Room small but adequate, and couldnt have coped in the 39 degree heat without the aircon.We had a top floor room which was quite a climb up the stairs after a big hot day out. Suggest getting a room down stairs.

Northwood University chose this location as the hotel for the students while studying in Paris this summer (May 25th - 28th, 2005). The location was the best! We could walk all around to all the places close and had easy access to the subway and tour buses. Paris is a beautiful city and the stay at the La Sanguine Hotel added to the experience. The owner had such a warm and welcoming personality. Breakfast was so good! Ask for the chocolate croissants! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. I am returning in February 2006.

My husband and I stayed at the La Sanguine for a week. The room was small, but well appointed. The hotel was close to everything, near the Place de Madeleine. The owners, the Plumerands, were delightful and charming in every possible way. The desk staff were also very helpful and friendly. Plus - the pastries were to die for! Make sure you get the breakfast package!
