I thought this place was a bargain for what it cost. The room was very small, and there was no cable, but it's in a decent neighborhood, close to public transportation, and costs 42 Euros per night! The level of service was actually pretty good, I thought. My only issue was the old peeling paint on the window sill, since I am pregnant and was travelling with a three year-old. I just made sure to keep us both away from it. I would recommend this hotel to the budget traveller.

The management at Hotel Sainte-Marie is not up to the job.
Before my arrival to Paris I bought two museum passes and had them delivered to this hotel. The hotel staff misplaced the passes and bluntly told me they had never received them. I was only goint to stay in town for three days and had lost the 100 euros I had paid for the passes and missed some of the greatest museums in the world.
I spoke to the hotel manager about the obvious error on their part and asked what he was going to do to compensate my loss. He was in complete denial and accepted no responsiblity for sitting on my museum passes for two days.
There are plenty of great budget hotels in Paris. Choose one where the staff and management are truly......
