Bed bug hotel

If you hate bed bugs, this place is definitely not for you (rooms 208 & 203 absolutely infested). Double bedrooms are really a twin with the two beds stuck together. Shower heads don't really sit above you like in a real shower, it was more like a shower attachment that you had to hold, whilst standing. Also, watch out for room cleanliness, as the carpet under our beds had not been cleaned since (at least) the last visitor before us.
Breakfast is always croissaint and a roll... no variation. Beware the owner's dog, who wanders in and out all the time... not hygienic! The staff were very helpful, apologetic, and understanding when it came to moving us due to the bed bugs, but told me that it was more likely that *I* was the one who had the problem (either I brought them or I was allergic to something). To be fair, they did check the bedroom and the beds, but I'm not convinced of their thoroughness or honesty - they told me that they'd never had complaints about bed bugs before mine, but this review page seems to say otherwise. All in all, if you're not fussed, and dont react to bites, then go for it, but I was **literally itching** and relieved to leave this place. I would never stay here again even if you paid me millions and I would certainly never ever recommend this place to anyone.

Never go here!!! If you are clean and a human, don't waste your time here! We tried two rooms here at this vacation. The first one was full of bed bugs. (Beware of room 407!) We want to change our room. You think that was easy? Not at all. At 4AM we got our 'new' room, and we were happy (no bugs) until we check the bathroom. It was small, the showerhead was broken etc. The whole room was dirty and we have to buy new pillows, and we are afraid of using the sheet. So... forget it...!!!

I would not stay at this hotel ever again or would I recommend someone else to stay here. First, we arrived to an unfriendly reception. Then, I got bed bugs and when I said I didn't want to pay for my room because of that, they had the nerve to say I did it on purpose to get a discount!!! Who would do that?!?! The staff was not friendly or helpful at all!! Don't go here!!!

This price seemed right but the hotel does not meet up to the description online. The elevator was filthy and that was the introduction. The rooms are small and depressing. The staff is not helpful at all. A simple request for paper cups was completley ignored!! I would spend a little more just to get decent service.

The staff is not helpful at all, and the manager reprimanded me for requesting a hair dryer, even though their website clearly states that hair dryers are included in every room. And don't even dare to ask for a clean towel every day. I was rudely told to go to a four star hotel for such luxuries. Our room had only about 2 feet of space around the bed, and there was no fan, even though it was pretty warm in June. Yes, it's moderately clean, and the location is decent. But if I go back, I'll either spring a little more for a nicer place, or I'll stay at a much cheaper hostel. This place is definitely not worth your money.

No, the service isn't extraordinary, but the staff are nice and helpful whenever a problem occurs. The rooms are small, but decent, clean (so were the sheets) and the bathrooms are functional (even if, as in almost all hotels and bed and breakfast places I've been to in the last couple of years, you never know where to put wet towels, let alone toilet accessories etc.). In short, it's all you need when you stay in a city like Paris where you are not very likely to spend much time in the hotel. Best of all, you're in a relatively quiet street with a good "boulangerie" and a small grocery store nearby, only half an hour (walking distance!) from the Marais. Difficult to find reasonably priced places like this for groups. As far as breakfast is concerned, it's not very much, but that's what a French breakfast looks like. Apart from that, the price of 6 euros is clearly stated at the reception desk - and you don't have to take it. And, by the way, it's free when you book over their site and tell them that you did so. Otherwise, speaking French - as always when you travel to this country - is never a bad thing.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, fixing a reservation problem we had and waking up early to help us get our cab/check out. Fantastic location. Room was decently sized; large bathroom.

From the very outset of our stay at the St. Sebastien Hotel, the "service" - if it can even be called that - was awful. The female receptionist was rude and obnoxious, calling us a problem when we simply refused to pay for the optional breakfast (which, by the way, consisted of 2 small buns and a coffee, being charged 6 Euros). The owner was even worse than this receptionist. The rooms are tiny and dirty and the sheets are not clean. Don't waste your time and money here - DEFINITELY not worth it!!!

Top Local Tips for Paris

Versailles was not worth the time. Getting to the castle is a hassle. You have to share a long, hot train ride with people who look like they're about to mug you. Then you walk about a mile to the castle entrance. After standing in line for a long time, you get inside and realize it's mostly a series of colorful, but empty rooms. And the hall of mirrors looks way better in pictures than in person. By the time you finish seeing the castle and Marie Antoinette's boring house, you're too tired to walk the gardens, which require an extra ticket in the summer anway. Then you have to repeat the process for the return to the city. It would recommend spending more time in the Louvre, around the Eiffel Tower, or just walking around the many beautiful neighborhoods. You can tell your friends you simpy ran out of time to see the Chateau.

Pop-In Pop-In is great and just around the corner from St Sebastien Hotel. It may not look like much from the outside, but go upstairs and youll find a cute seating area, along with stairs to the basement dancefloor. Had a lot of fun dancing around to fun indie songs all night.
