The shabby lobby and stairway (no lift) made us more than a bit nervous. Our room however was, by inexpensive Paris hotel standards, a palace. Comfortable bed, desk, tub in a very nicely tiled bathroom, room to move about and a nice view down the narrow medieval street. No noise (walls are thick)from within and street noise bearable. For the price, it's definitely a find.

I absolutely recommend this hotel, not only because of the charming way that you are treated there but mostly because of the simplicity and originality of the hotel. It is also very close to several great places in Paris and the price is very reasonable.

Quaint, quiet, inexpensive and friendly, we really enjoyed our week here. No TV, view or lift....but great position with about 50 cafes and restaurants within a minutes walk. Five minutes walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame. If you want to be out of your hotel, looking at the sites and living in the cafes then this place is really the place you should stay.

Absolutely recommend this hotel. The location is PERFECT! You are 2 block away from Saint Michel station which is one of the main stations. 5 minute walk to Notre Dame, a 10 minute walk to the Louvre. The people are very friendly. The rooms are cozy, the location is next to tons of restaurants, cafes and food stores. They serve breakfast with tons of bread yumm!. The rooms are small but they have private bathroom and highly recommend to choose a bath instead of shower because showers are not suitable for tall people. No elevator which is tough when you come back from sightseeing. Recommend to anybody who is traveling on a tight budget but would like comfort. Very quiet and romantic.
