Everything's fine!

We stayed for four days and everything was really good! The room was simple, but clean and had everything we needed. (Enough towels!!)The staff was polite and helpful, they even allowed us to store our luggage at the counter the day we left. If we`ll got to Paris again, we will surely stay there once more! Generally the hotel is situated near a lot of bars, the next Metro is only about 2 minutes away and it is really cheap. Definitely a place to stay!
Wonderful location, good hotel

This is a small hotel in an old building. It is situated on a small square. The doubleroom we shared was nice, the bathroom clean and even had a large tub(and plenty of towels!). The staff is pleasent and helpfull. We would choose to stay at the Rhetia again.
Excellent for the price

I read the review by Rodrigo of Brazil on this site, but we decided to stay there anywhere because of positive reviews elsewhere. Our experience couldn't be more different from Rodrigo's. Indeed there is no elevator (many buildings in Paris lack one), and the building is not new (if I wanted a new building I wouldn't go to Paris), but the staff -- a husband and wife, M and Mme Garnier, who run the place -- were extremely friendly and helpful, the bathroom was clean (if small), there were sufficient towels for two of us, the room was surprisingly spacious, and it had a great view of a nearby garden. We were vacating for two days and returning, and they were kind enough to keep some of our luggage. They also helped with airline reconfirmation and taxi booking. Of the proprietors, the husband speaks little English, but the wife speaks it quite well (though we ended up mainly using my French anyway -- I'm flattered if she thought it was better than her English).
All in all, my wife and I are very happy with our time there and would gladly stay there again.

We (my girlfriend and me) planned to stay 5 nights at Rhetia, but we couldn't stand at least two and left immediately. Unpolite staff, old building, no elevator, dirty bathroom, malfunctioning heat... For example, we got in the room (a double room) and there was only one bath towel and one hand towel. We called the reception and asked for another towel. She was very unpolite, argued with us and told us to get down the stairs and switch the hand towel for the bath towel, with the excuse that "it was a small hotel and that they couldn't afford so many towels".
In the second terror-night at Rhetia, we decided to look for another hotel. In the same block, next to a Très-Marcher supermarket, we found Acacia Hotel.... try this, its cheap and a great option (clean, polite staff, english speakers and so on).

Batobus river cruises were good value. hop on and off as often as you wish. buy a 2 day pass and use it to visit the Louve, Notre Dame, Eiffle tower the Arc de Triompe etc even use to rest weary legs form all the sight seeing. Also the Fat Tire bike tours were great fun and a great way to see the sights.
