Both me an my friend were very very disapointed by this hotel. The rooms were tiny, the shower was a bad joke, and absolutely no intimacy. I do not reccomend this to anybody seeking a romantic trip.

Good location, nice room

The hotel is in a good location, with lots of interesting street life and close to many good places to visit. Our room had a balcony and was small but nice with a newly refurbished bathroom. Nothing particularly fancy but a good choice if you prefer to spend your money on restaurants rather than hotel rooms.

Very disappointing

Tiny, absolutely tiny room, despite it being a 'double'. In fact the bathroom was larger than the bedroom. Virtually no services, very small reception, didn't even try the breakfast. Fine perhaps for a budget traveller on his own, but not worth the money I paid.

Not Exceptional

While the location and rooms were quite good, there were several things we did not like about this hotel. When we booked the room the web site told us that breakfast was included. The breakfast was quite substandard (we were perplexed that you could actually have a bad croissant in Paris) and after a couple of days I double checked to make sure we not being billed extra for it. To my surprise, we were and the resolution of the conflict was quite complicated. The hotel had to charge us for it and then reimburse us, rather than just not charging us. In general, the staff was a bit surly. One of our criteria for a hotel in Paris in August was that it have air conditioning. While the rooms were air conditioned, the lobby and breakfast room was not. We also found that the air conditioner did not work really well so that while our room was cooler than outdoors - it was not really cool. On the plus side, the location was excellent. Close to two metro stops, the Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame and tons of restaurants on the Rue Mouffetard. The room was a nice size. Like most small hotels in Paris, the walls were a bit thin but we were only subjected to noisy neighbors for one night.
