Get the top room - What a view

We stayed here when our first choice, St Andre des Arts (1 block away - probably the best value in the latin quarter), was booked full. Yes, the stairs are rickety, yes, it's small and old - but very clean. The room we had on the top floor had a wrap around wrought iron balcony - got breakfast and sood out on the balcony and watched the action on Rue de Buci below - a very colorful corner! Close to EVERYTHING. I cannot say enough good about this little gem.

We had booked, in advance by telephone, a double room with shower and toilet and was told that the price would be 54 euros. When we got there, we were told that the room actually costs 65 euros. We had to argue a bit before they let us have the room for 55 euros.
Quality is very, very budget, they don't change the towels unless you ask. Payment for all nights must be made on first night!

Highly recommended!! We are a young couple; we've been there at the end of August 2005. Very reasonable price for a great location. Located in the heart of the very picturesque neighbourhood of the "Quartier Latin", this small hotel offers the best price quality ratio. Highly recommended for all small and medium budget!!

Very nice hotel. Great price in fantastic location - just around the corner from Odeon Met station. Think I paid something like 50EUR during peak season. Walk everywhere. Highly recommended for the budget traveller.

Find affordable good food Always check the menus on the door - go for friendly folk even if they are busy - don't go for touristy places as they often are of poor quality - except the Musee D'Orsay which ahs superb quality food and service in cramped area(lots of tables) so you get to chat with your neighbours, in their Cafe (where the clock is) Look where the locals are eating
