Very nice stay

I stayed in this hotel last week with some friends and I can say, all of us were VERY SATISFIED! We had one double room with shared facilities, and one triple with private facilities and paid 25 € p.person per night, including breakfast which is a very good price for Paris.
For this price, we didn't expect too much, but were happy to have managed to afford a stay in Paris anyway.
But all five of us were surprised very positively, when we arrived.
The first impression I had was that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good, sacré-coeur, montmartre is within walkin distance, the louvre is only 5 metro stations away.
But what I found most important is that above all, the Hotel is VERY CLEAN. Even the showers and toilets outside the rooms were very clean, which made me feel very comfortable in the whole hotel. Breakfast was quite good as well, baguette with butter and marmelade for everyone and I have to say the coffee was superb!! One day I was late for breakfast and I already thought I had to starve that morning, but the staff was so friendly to give me a tray with baguette and coffee for the whole room to take upstairs. All in all I can absolutely recommend this nice little hotel. Especially for students like us it's a good alternative to the big hotels like the MIJE, of which I have not always heard positive things.. In the Hotel Perfect you get a very clean and nice atmosphere and good service for a very cheap price. ;)
Happy place

We are a mature couple, never been to Paris before know no French, travelling around the world on a tight budget. Perfect was just fine. Walking distance to almost everything - well walked to the tower! Small but neat clean rooms. Excellent value for the money. Breakfast a bit on the weak side but again not bad for the sort of money we were charged. Staff delightful. kindly and caring and friendly. Old world charm. Not for 5 star travellers but marvelous for 2 star folk like us.

The Perfect Hotel really is just that. It's a budget hotel/hostel and it is an amazing value for the money. My friend and I stayed in a twin bed room with ensuite for only 30 euros each a night. Our room was cleaned daily - beds made, bathroom cleaned and towels changed - and daily breakfast - baguette with jam and a coffee/tea/hot chocolate - was also included. We found the service to be fantastic, the location utterly amazing, the cleanliness great, and were so happy to have found this place. If I go back I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Just 10 minutes from Sacre Coeur this place is an incredible deal!!! Closest Metro is Anvers (number 2 line), about a five minute walk. Internet cafe just down the street as well as laundry and loads of nearby restaurants and bakeries as well as a food shop pretty much just across the road (Franprix).

I've just come back from Paris, and i'm already missing it!!!I miss not only Paris but The Perfect Hotel as well.Undoubtedly it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in!The staff was friendly and helpful- personally I enjoyed late night chats with a guy from staff;)Breakfast was always fresh and delicious although it consisted only of bagette with jam or butter and caffe au lait, but it made the day!!The prices are suitable for every pocket, and most of all the hotel is clean. If I ever come to Paris again,I'll certainly stay in The Perfect Hotel.:)
Quaint ... but a bit noisy. But the staff makes up for it!

It was freezing cold in Paris when my boyfriend and I traveled through in January, however, Perfect Hotel was a nice place to come "home" to after venturing around town sightseeing all day. Nate and I loved the very 'French-country' breakfast of fresh baked French bread and jam with caffe au lait in the morning, served by the *most polite* and caring staff. We became very friendly with the staff who held our keys and knew us by name. They accepted a package for us before we had even arrived and held it for us upon check-in. They were very helpful in every other aspect and gave us directions and places to visit, as well as tips on eclectic and inexpensive restaurants while we were there. The only thing we didn't like was the noise at night. The Woodstock Hostel (geared towards younger travelers) is across the street and on the weekends the party crowd can be a bit of a nuisance, especially if you are jetlagged! However, I would reccomend this hotel for anyone traveling through and staying for just a couple of days. Nothing super posh or elegant, but it definately has a charm to it and you immediately feel comfortable and welcome upon entering. The price is very good, too. It seems more like a big boarding house than an actual "hotel"

I can't wait to go back to Paris!!!

I stayed a week at the Perfect Hotel and it was great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful to wake up to, and the location was perfect. It was a short walk to just about anywhere and a block or two from the closest metro station. It was also priced at a very modest price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Hotel at (less than) hostel price

Honestly speaking I find that you won't be better off than in Perfect Hotel at least if you wander in Paris area. I have lived in Paris 6 months as a student and I can assure everybody that all others ho(s)tels in Paris were more expensive, less friendly and often not so well located in the town. You can pay down to 27 euros per person for a double room with toilets in the (almost) center of Paris! Note that the hotel is in the Montmarte arrondissement which is quite a nicer place than Barbés which is a few metres away and where you can find hotels at this price. Really important Perfect hotel has no curfew!

We've now stayed at this hotel 3 times, because the staff (esp Marie-Chantal) are so friendly and helpful. In addition we loved the long french pillows and the top balcony rooms with views over the rooftops. Typical Parisian feel to it. Breakfast is the cheapest in Paris at only 3 euros, consisting of rolls, jams and coffee. Despite the comments of the last reviewer, there is in fact a lift in the hotel. Also, the location is near the Gare du Nord so only a 5 minute walk if you arrive by eurostar. Note that this hotel is cheaper than the hostel across the road. The only downside we found was the beds themselves were clean, but the top covers were not. Also, there is not a huge amount of good restaurants nearby, although the english speaking staff did recommend a nice cheap italian place (you may even get a voucher for a complimentary drink. Freebies in paris are always good!)

I stayed in Perfect Hotel two weeks ago and it was great. I paid 45 euros for a double room with breakfast less than 2 beds in a dorm. It's clean, well located and cheap.

Could have been more perfect

from A TripAdvisor Member
I have recently stayed at the Hotel Perfect. After reading good reports about the hotel i was some what disappointed that it was not as good as i expected. Sure some staff were friendly and the rooms were clean but simple. The walls were very thin and with no TV you had to suffer other peoples noise. The breakfast was so boaring and the bread hard that my mouth became sore. So sign of fresh fruit or juice.
The area its self not that great, would not have felt safe if i were to go out at night on my own. Next time we vist we will be sure to pay the extra to have home comforts and privacy and to be in a beter part of paris.

The perfect inexpensive hotel in Paris

from A TripAdvisor Member
The Perfect Hotel definitely lived up to its name for us. Excellent location, safe, inexpensive for Paris. Child-friendly, English speaking. Breakfast is served and use of their refrigerator and kitchen is permitted for snacks, etc. We got daily weather reports and help with train schedules! Personal interest in our activities. We stayed for 2 glorious weeks. It was like being in a friend's home!

Absolutely Perfect

from MisterEd1965
We had such a good time in July that we are going back in December on a Christmas shopping trip. The hotel is well run by friendly staff. The rooms are not luxurious but it is a budget hotel. Where possible I will be using the Hotel Perfect for all my future visits to Paris. The local shops are good, loads of places to eat out and we made very good friends in a bar close by that we still keep in touch with. Two Metro stations are just a few minutes away and situated very close to Monmartre and Pigalle. Although there is a lot of traffic during the day the street is very quiet at night, even though I had a front facing room on the first floor I was not botherd at all with late night traffic unlike other areas I have stayed. The only thing I could really fault for motorists would be the difficulty of parking in this area, Paris on the whole has major parking issues but this area seemed worse than most, but I'm not silly enough to want to drive in Paris anyway so it doesn't affect me. To round things up, I love the hotel and I love the area, would recommend it to everyone looking for budget accomodation.

Budget Hotel for the price of Hostel

from PABLO2
I stayed in Perfect Hotel 2 weeks ago.
Great location, clean and simple rooms, good breakfast, kitchen and microwave.
It s a spot for students, backpackers and savvy travellers.
I paid the price 45 euros for a double share facilities (less than 2 beds in a dorm)

Great hotel for the Budget Traveler

from A TripAdvisor Member
We just returned from our trip to Europe and we stayed at the Hotel Perfect while in Paris. It was a great place especially for those on a budget. It's close to Sacre Cour, which means it's a little outside of the main attractions of the city. I loved that because we got a genuine feel for the Parisians. We liked to foot it all over the place, so it is possible to walk to wherever you go, but I'd probably recommend jumping on the Metro, which is a short walk from the Hotel in order not to wear yourself out like we did. They have a great complimentary French breakfast and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms are "perfectly" adorable, simple and clean with our own bathrooms. The price is definitly right, the area is safe, the rooms are great and the staff was wonderful. What more do you need for an adventurous, romantic trip to the City of Love?

Far From Perfect

from A TripAdvisor Member
My wife and I planned a whole week at the Hotel Perfect last March, but only stayed for one night. The price is great, we were paying only 28 euros per night. The hotel was a pretty big dissapointment. It wasn't actually dirty, but it was a bit depressing. The bathroom on our floor didn't really work, and the showers were a full two floors below. If you are on a tight budget, then this place might be acceptable, but don't expect a nice hotel. we moved to the Hotel de Nesle for the rest of our trip. It was a lot more expensive, but offered bright, clean, charming rooms right in the center of Paris.

Just Perfect

from Paula123
Staying at this hotel is a great way to see Paris if you are on a budget and don't want to stay in a grubby hostel. The room, although small, was very clean, safe and quiet at night. Great breakfast, with the most amazing bread, and way above average coffee. The day receptionist is very friendly and helpful, although the evening receptionist appeared to be quite a character. We had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hotel Perfect.

Great Hotel, Friendly Staff, Well located!!!

from A TripAdvisor Member
The Perfect Hotel is an excellent hotel. Alright, it is fairly basic, however it is an excellent location, close to the Anver & Cadet metro statons. We stuck to the Anver station as it on a direct line with the Arc De Trioumphe & Eiffel Tower. The staff are really friendly & only too happy to help. If you are after somewhere that is cheap and cheerful then check this place out!!!

from A TripAdvisor Member
I don't understand what the last reviewer is complaining about. The area he is describing is Montmartre! (and the dog poo is EVERYWHERE in Paris)

I have stayed in the Perfect Hotel twice. The staff are very friendly, it's not exactly luxurious but excellent value for money. you can get to any part of Paris quickly from Anvers. The neighbourhood is excellent for eating and going out. It's great! I was in France for a year and a half and this is the best budget hotel I've come across yet.

Thin sidewalks?! I guess you complained about the size of the Arc de Triomphe as well?

Lousy area

from JoanieChristianson
I have no problems with the hotel. I read the reviews posted here and called paris to reserve the room for one week. The metro stop anvers was very rough, I think that whole area north might be rough with the exception of Montmart proper. We had trouble finding the hotel and getting oriented from the Metro stop. Two streets intersect and have the same name. The area is a ethnic nieghborhood and the sidewalks are very narrow, dirty and watch for all the piles of dog poop. We did not feel safe and could not imagine returning safely at night for an entire week. We left the next mornng after one night for a budget hotel in the 17th Arondissement by the Arc de Triomphe.

Top Local Tips for Paris

sacre ceour do not get conned into having a bracelet weaved onto your wrist a at the sacre ceour, they will charm you then try and get about E20 for it.they only got 5 out of us but they are very intimidating and there are lots of them. saw some people handing over E20 and loking a bit scared.

Paris Museum Pass This was a great find for us. We may have spent a little more money than we would have without it, but the ease in skipping lines and the ability to go to everything for even a short while made it well worth it. I would recommend the Paris Museum Pass to everyone I know.

Eiffel Tower at Night Make sure you see the Eiffel tower at night. It was the best part of the whole trip. Also, make sure you are on the ground when it gets dark, not on the tower. The lights sparkle on and off for about 10 minutes. Amazing.
