I stayed in this hotel last week with some friends and I can say, all of us were VERY SATISFIED! We had one double room with shared facilities, and one triple with private facilities and paid 25 € p.person per night, including breakfast which is a very good price for Paris. For this price, we didn't expect too much, but were happy to have managed to afford a stay in Paris anyway. But all five of us were surprised very positively, when we arrived. The first impression I had was that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is good, sacré-coeur, montmartre is within walkin distance, the louvre is only 5 metro stations away. But what I found most important is that above all, the Hotel is VERY CLEAN. Even the showers and toilets outside the rooms were very clean, which made me feel very comfortable in the whole hotel. Breakfast was quite good as well, baguette with butter and marmelade for everyone and I have to say the coffee was superb!! One day I was late for breakfast and I already thought I had to starve that morning, but the staff was so friendly to give me a tray with baguette and coffee for the whole room to take upstairs. All in all I can absolutely recommend this nice little hotel. Especially for students like us it's a good alternative to the big hotels like the MIJE, of which I have not always heard positive things.. In the Hotel Perfect you get a very clean and nice atmosphere and good service for a very cheap price. ;)

We are a mature couple, never been to Paris before know no French, travelling around the world on a tight budget. Perfect was just fine. Walking distance to almost everything - well walked to the tower! Small but neat clean rooms. Excellent value for the money. Breakfast a bit on the weak side but again not bad for the sort of money we were charged. Staff delightful. kindly and caring and friendly. Old world charm. Not for 5 star travellers but marvelous for 2 star folk like us. David & Anne

The Perfect Hotel really is just that. It's a budget hotel/hostel and it is an amazing value for the money. My friend and I stayed in a twin bed room with ensuite for only 30 euros each a night. Our room was cleaned daily - beds made, bathroom cleaned and towels changed - and daily breakfast - baguette with jam and a coffee/tea/hot chocolate - was also included. We found the service to be fantastic, the location utterly amazing, the cleanliness great, and were so happy to have found this place. If I go back I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Just 10 minutes from Sacre Coeur this place is an incredible deal!!! Closest Metro is Anvers (number 2 line), about a five minute walk. Internet cafe just down the street as well as laundry and loads of nearby restaurants and bakeries as well as a food shop pretty much just across the road (Franprix).

I've just come back from Paris, and i'm already missing it!!!I miss not only Paris but The Perfect Hotel as well.Undoubtedly it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in!The staff was friendly and helpful- personally I enjoyed late night chats with a guy from staff;)Breakfast was always fresh and delicious although it consisted only of bagette with jam or butter and caffe au lait, but it made the day!!The prices are suitable for every pocket, and most of all the hotel is clean. If I ever come to Paris again,I'll certainly stay in The Perfect Hotel.:)

Quaint ... but a bit noisy. But the staff makes up for it!

It was freezing cold in Paris when my boyfriend and I traveled through in January, however, Perfect Hotel was a nice place to come "home" to after venturing around town sightseeing all day. Nate and I loved the very 'French-country' breakfast of fresh baked French bread and jam with caffe au lait in the morning, served by the *most polite* and caring staff. We became very friendly with the staff who held our keys and knew us by name. They accepted a package for us before we had even arrived and held it for us upon check-in. They were very helpful in every other aspect and gave us directions and places to visit, as well as tips on eclectic and inexpensive restaurants while we were there. The only thing we didn't like was the noise at night. The Woodstock Hostel (geared towards younger travelers) is across the street and on the weekends the party crowd can be a bit of a nuisance, especially if you are jetlagged! However, I would reccomend this hotel for anyone traveling through and staying for just a couple of days. Nothing super posh or elegant, but it definately has a charm to it and you immediately feel comfortable and welcome upon entering. The price is very good, too. It seems more like a big boarding house than an actual "hotel" I can't wait to go back to Paris!!!

I stayed a week at the Perfect Hotel and it was great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful to wake up to, and the location was perfect. It was a short walk to just about anywhere and a block or two from the closest metro station. It was also priced at a very modest price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel at (less than) hostel price

Honestly speaking I find that you won't be better off than in Perfect Hotel at least if you wander in Paris area. I have lived in Paris 6 months as a student and I can assure everybody that all others ho(s)tels in Paris were more expensive, less friendly and often not so well located in the town. You can pay down to 27 euros per person for a double room with toilets in the (almost) center of Paris! Note that the hotel is in the Montmarte arrondissement which is quite a nicer place than Barbés which is a few metres away and where you can find hotels at this price. Really important Perfect hotel has no curfew!

Perfect Hotel for us

We've now stayed at this hotel 3 times, because the staff (esp Marie-Chantal) are so friendly and helpful. In addition we loved the long french pillows and the top balcony rooms with views over the rooftops. Typical Parisian feel to it. Breakfast is the cheapest in Paris at only 3 euros, consisting of rolls, jams and coffee. Despite the comments of the last reviewer, there is in fact a lift in the hotel. Also, the location is near the Gare du Nord so only a 5 minute walk if you arrive by eurostar. Note that this hotel is cheaper than the hostel across the road. The only downside we found was the beds themselves were clean, but the top covers were not. Also, there is not a huge amount of good restaurants nearby, although the english speaking staff did recommend a nice cheap italian place (you may even get a voucher for a complimentary drink. Freebies in paris are always good!)

My sister and I travelled to Europe for the first time in 2004 and the staff seemed to pick up on the fact that we were very inexperienced and were really nice to us. The beds were hard and the rooms sparse and needed a good airing when we arrived as the previous occupant was a smoker but we really enjoyed it - we had our own balcony and I was really conveniently placed to Sacre Cour the street cleaners at 6am was hilarious but other than that we had no trouble sleeping. There were shared bathrooms and no lift from memory but the stairs just burned off all the croissants we were eating. Bad news was that there was 2 patisseries within a block so we lived on eclairs.
