Me and my girlfriend stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I had booked a room for two persons, but we got a room for three, for the same price.

The bathtub was huge and we enjoyed a couple of refreshings during our stay :-).

Only one negative point as to the room: there were no nighttables in our room.

The breakfast was good, but maybe a bit too expensive.

Service was great, staff was friendly.

Location was terrific with the Gard du Nord and a metro station at just a 5-minute walk.

Price-quality: good.

Next time, we will book the same hotel.

Stay there for one night with my beau and we loved it! Especially the bathtub it was huge, staff were really nice also very helpful..Yeah loved it ! Very close to Gare du Nord ! Within walking distance ..

Great Hotel but not too great on the room!

We've just come back from a wonderful break in Paris. WE stayed at the hotel for 4 night. The staff were very pleasant, the interior of the lobby, lounge and dining room was well kept. The room on the otherhand was nothing to write home about. The carpet was very marked quite dirty looking, and shabby. However saying this the hotel was in short walking distance of both gare d'Nord and Gare de L'Est therefore we couldn't really complian!

Hostile and arrogant staff

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights. Had the worst experience of my Europe trip. The rooms were OK, but the staffs were really horrible. They were extremely hostile and rude, esp towards us Asians, while I saw them having a different attitude towards the UK visitors. highly NOT recommended, esp for Asians.

The location is very convenient, there is a market hall right across the street from the hotel, our room was quiet and clean, but had no elevator. The breakfast was excellent in terms of what I am usually used in France - plenty of bread, cheese, ham, salami, coffee, cereal, juice, eggs... The staff was very friendly and helpful and I would always go back here! Great value for the price (considering it is a ** Hotel and not the Hilton!)

To be avoided: they lost my booking, the room was noisy, bed was bad (almost broken), they sell scanty and expensive breakfast (fatty "meat", one piece of bread!, etc.), arrogant reception-staff. To be avoided! Other hotel in the same street offers better value for (less) money!

Top Local Tips for Paris

Excellent restaurant by Notre Dame great little find in the little side roads off to the left of Notre Dame Cathedral (4 rue de la colombe). It's called La reserve de Quasimodo, and it's a restaurant and a 'cave a vins'. Really good food, nice cosy interior with friendly staff and cheap too! Personally recommend the foie gras as a starter, generous serving, enough to share if you want.

Walk! Paris is small so walk as much as you can. Although the Metro is excellent, most places can be accessed by foot and you'll see so much more. Especially if you're a couple, walking in Paris together is a wonderful experience.

food Use the supermarkets near the hotel for drinks as you can spend as much as 8 euros for a coke. also check menu prices, as i ended up paying 26 euros for two cokes and two ham sandwiches.
