As for 'Sun seeker' the weather was not good. Hotel is tiny but good enough to stay few nights. Very good indeed was relation between the price and location. Just a walk to Montrmarte and you are in the middle of scenic sorroundings famous for art and artists. Although it was chilly during our stay we enjoyed it very much. The rooms left alot to be desired but for this price in this location in Paris you couldn't complain. They were clean and comfortable with all amenities. The hairdryers were a nightmare though and there aren't any spare ones available at the hotel so if you need one, then pack one!
The location was amazing, we could walk everywhere, including to a lovely bistro round the corner: come out of the hotel, turn right, first left and it's down there on the right hand side. Looks like a bar from the outside but the restaurant bit is at the back, and has the most amazing food and very friendly staff. In all, after trying many hotels in Paris I'd probably return especially for a shortbreak.

Very small and basic, but cheap and clean. We got three nights for the price of two. Great location just down the road from a metro station and lots of bars and restaurants, but not noisy. Our bathroom was too small to swing a gerbil, and we got two single beds rather than a double, but perfectly adequate for those on a budget. Good buffet-style breakfast served til 10am so no horribly early mornings necessary - however the breakfast staff were really unfriendly for some reason!!

Top Local Tips for Paris
Metro Use the metro sytem, it may seem daunting at first with all the different lines, but it is actually quite easy and so quick. Also all the major tourist spots are beside a station. It will save you a fortune to take the metro instead of taxis everywhere!
Save your Euros Do not eat at places close to major tourist sites, explore.... find an out of the way place, also every item you order is a new tab. If you get a table your paying for it. Most locals stand and order food.
negociate price before you get in Don't take a taxi who quotes you too high a price. I learned this too late.
