Excellent Value for Money
Me and my husband have just returned from the hotel and were very happy with our stay there and would recommend it to anyone. It was a great location, just opposite the station, great for eating out, plenty of restaurants etc. Also good for buses, Eurostar and Metro. The only downside I would say was the fact that our room was on the road so therefore had some noise outside of a night, but of course that would not bother some people. Other than that, everything was fine. The breakfast was excellent, it was a buffet and had everything that you could want for breakfast, except, if English, did not have traditional fry-up, just scrambled eggs and sausages or boiled eggs. You do not go hungry!! Also to be noted, no tea/coffee facilities in room which if we had known would have taken a travel kettle.

Great Service
This hotel is situated right opposite Gare Du Nord Station. Upon arriving at the hotel we found the most helpful and courteous staff on the reception desk. The room was spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast was excellent with a wide variety to choose from, including scrambled egg and sausage. We had one small problem with the shower. When we reported this to reception, within 10 minutes the matter had been rectified. The purpose of our visit was to celebrate my birthday, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We shall most certainly stay at this hotel again in the future. As a matter of interest, the Metro is 50ft from the front door, and is the must way to travel around Paris and very cheap. When we left the hotel, we found ourself 3 minutes walk from Eurostar departure lounge. In conclusion, two very satisfied customers.

Good, clean, basic and convenient.
The hotel couldn't be more convenient being opposite the main entrance of the Gare Du Nord station making it a fantastic base to tour Paris via the excellent Metro, as well as having direct trains from Charles De Gaulle airport and the Eurostar from London. As a hotel it's facilities are basic but clean. The room was simple but pleasant enough, worth it for the balcony and the view we had over the Gare Du Nord's ornate facade with the sacre Cour in the distance. We only once tried to use the hotel bar and found it closed at 11pm, though in Paris, I'm not sure why you would want to stay in and use the hotel bar? The area around the hotel was ok, areas around stations are never the best but it's nothing a city dweller would baulk at. A few beggers, a few fast food joints nearby, but also some excellent cafes. We had several late nights and didn't feel at all threatened walking around. Overall, a simple but clean and welcoming hotel that makes an ideal base for travelling... Read more

Nothing Special
The Hotel location is very good for transport but we didn't feel safe walking round at night time. There were several groups of young lads hanging about on street corners and a number of beggars laid full length across the pavement so that you had to walk round them. The local area was rough. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and after several hours touring round we decided to go and relax in the hotel bar for the evening. We found it closed this was about 8.30pm. I asked a porter in reception if the bar would be opening he simply said its closed. I asked is this because its Sunday ? He leaned into my face and said in a loud voice "its closed" Not a nice experience. Having said that, the girls working on Reception were very pleasant and helpful. We found the Bar open on Tuesday evening but only just, we entered at 11.30pm after a night out only to be told we are just closing, we managed one drink. This is not very good for a large hotel. The breakfast was very basic and not worth th... Read more
