A Very Bad Hotel
Previous trips to France had always been wonderful. We made the unfortunatel choice to stay at the Madison Hotel while in Paris for a weekend. While the location is very good, the service is very bad. We had a situation with our room that made it impossible to sleep. Specifically, a problem with the heating system was creating a high pitched whistle in our wall. We live a large city and are not bothered by the usual array of noises. The hotel's response to our situation was "suck it up". In a youth hostel you do that, but in at over 200 Euro a night you expect more. We left and found another hotel. Madison Hotel, subsequently, charged us for the night their room was uninhabitable! I would caution anyone against this hotel.
