A Nice Surprise...

from ekitson
This borders on 3/4 stars, but I figured I'd give it 4 to be nice since nothing was majorly wrong with it. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the hotel - we were expecting a dump of some sort. But the hotel was relatively easy to find, it's in a great location with views of the Eiffel Tower just around the corner and a vast selection of excellent resteraunts nearby (try Zebra Square, Domo Sushi Bar and Les Ondes!). It's about a 5 minute walk to the Metro to connect you to all of Paris; the E. Tower is, like everyone else has said, a mere 20 minutes walk away or one stop away on the metro.

The staff were so-so, mostly friendly, except for the nightstaff. The room service, however, was laughable. "Room Service" NEVER pick up the phone - ever. You have to call Reception, then they get annoyed at you for bothering them at the 'wrong desk', then you get transfered on the phone a million times. Once you do get through to someone, who never speaks good English (the rest of the staff is great in this department, it just seems to be room service...) it usually takes quite a while to get your order. We ordered sorbet one night and by the time it actually reached us, it was all but melted.

The only other bad experience we with the staff had was the very first day we checked in - after about 5 minutes of walking into our hotel room, we got a knock on the door from the hotel staff. As I wasn't dressed, we ignored it but they used a master key and let themselves into the room! They didn't even care or apologise that I was mid-changing and insisted on taking out the spare bed immediately. That annoyed me somewhat!

Still, we were out all day every day (we stayed one week) so you don't really notice the staff and we ate out every night. For a place to sleep and wake up every morning, it's great - it's in a quiet area, yet it's so connected to the city. You can walk 2 minutes away to a bridge by the original Statue of Liberty and watch the E. Tower light up at night.

I'd definately stay here again, we got a great summer deal (6 nights for the price of 4) and it's great for couples. Not so much for children, as there's not as much for them to do, but definately give this place a try if you're into seeing all of Paris.

Good airco!

from florisrook
Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It was 35+ in Paris and the airco in the room did a great job. Friendly and (as written before) good English speaking staff. Rooms are of a reasonable size for Paris. Also breakfast is perfect. The only negative things in my opinion: the entree out of the hotel isn't attractive and the bed-clothes and carpet didn't look very clean....
Would definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel, Great Value

from VMac
We have just returned from a fabulous 4 night break in this hotel. The heat in Paris was unbearable so it was great to be able to return to an airy, good sized, air conditioned room with daily maid service. The buffet breakfast was very good, from bacon and egg to fruit, croissants, cheeses etc. Easy reach of metro and RER stations. Would definately return.

Freindly Staff

from TJE35
We stayed for one night but found the staff really helpful and friendly. We arrived late morning but were given our room straight away. Good rooms, nice clean hotel. About 10mins walk to the nearest Metro, and about 30 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower. The staff on reception couldn't have been more helpful in providing information and booking us a dinner boat on the river. The hotel is modern and had a nice bar and underground parking.

Great Hotel!!!

I've just returned from a three night stay here with my partner. We were on a budget and got this hotel with flights for around £250 each, therfore we were not expecting a huge amount. The Hotel was great for what we needed. it was clean, modern and nicely decorated. We had breakfast included which ran from 7-10:30 with plenty to choose from. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area which felt very safe. There are a few restaurants nearby and a supermarket which is very cheap just opposite. I couldnt really fault this Hotel the staff were friendly and spoke good english. There are 2 metro stations nearby which we used to get around. You could walk to the main attractions but it would take quite a while. The Effiel Tower however is within easy reach. I would certainly return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Me and my boyfriend came here for New Year and they changed us to another hotel, right out of the centre of Paris! So we were standed in Paris waiting for a taxi late on New Years night when we could had just walked to Auteuil Tour Eiffel if they haven't had changed us!
We moved back to the Auteuil the night after and the electricity went out on us! They didn't even pay for the taxi that we had to pay to get to and from the new hotel they moved us to. So BEWARE of this scam!

Lovely little place

I thought that the hotel might have been too far away, but actually it felt quite nice to be out of the main hubbub, but saying that, it only took about 10 mins by metro to reach the main part of paris.
The hotel itself had everything that we wanted. Staff were really nice and spoke good English. Bed weas comfy, the toilet flushed, air con worked like a dream. It is in a nice area, and feels particularly safe at night. In fact one night, I dropped my purse somewhere near by and some nice person returned it to the hotel.
At night the metro stops at around 12ish, and one night we went to the bastille area and were gutted that we woulnt be able to stay for long because we figured a taxi would be really expensive, but it turned out to be 10 euros! We were so impressed. So I def reccommend getting a taxi places. We went to Zebra square near by for a drink (10 euros for a beer). It was very cool.
In all, I would suggest you go there coz its really sweet and cheap and im sure u wont be dissapointed.

Quiet and nice but...

The location is nice, the room was clean and the hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. But, we booked this hotel because the amenities included a fitness center, which they do not have and the amenities also included internet access which is also not available. We were disappointed because they did not tell the truth on the website. For the same price we could have got a comparable hotel closer to the opera district.

Nice Hotel

My Husband and I stayed at the Libertel Auteuil Tour Eiffel for our Honeymoon. We were greeted by very friendly staff on our arrival, we were given map of the city and advise on the metro. Our room was a decent size, we requested a balcony when we booked via the internet through an agent, which we were given, unfortunalty we were on the ground floor, as you can imagine the veiw wasn't spectacular but it certainly wasn't a problem. The room was clean and there was tea and coffee making facilites (although these were not replenished and no milk supplied). The kettle had to be plugged in on the floor as the lead would not reach off the table. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the hotel is within a very short walk off the metro line which will take you into central Paris. Would stay again. A good restaurant nearby is the Zebra bar, would highly recommend a meal there.

Great Staff, Great Location,

from A TripAdvisor Member
We arrived at the hotel 6 hours prior to normal check in time. The staff were friendly and apologetic when we were told we were not able to be in our room before 2pm. They secured our luggage and we went exploring for a couple of hours. As we had flown in from Hong Kong we were a little weary so we made oursleves comfortable in the foyer.

The receptionist apologised again and offered refreshments to my daughter and myself. At 11.00 am they advised us that a room was now ready - way ahead of schedule! The room was a decent size, well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and there was a hairdryer! No Kettle though. Nevermind we had the best Boulangerie a stones throw away and they made great coffee so for breakfast each morning my daughter would just walk up the road and buy a beautiful fresh baguette and coffee and bring it back to the room. There are a couple of supermarkets nearby and the Radio France rail station is just 5 minutes walk. Although, most days we walked to the Eiffel Tower, The Arc etc and caught the train back in the afternoon. The restaurant and bar were adequate, the meals were nothing fancy but well prepared and tasty. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately, we were there over Easter and most restaurants in the vacinity were closed so we did not get to sample some of the surrounding fare.

Top Local Tips for Paris

Visiting Eiffel Tower & Transport The Eiffel Tower is About a Mile Away or Less. It Took me 20-25 Walk, Up Ave de Versailles, Which leads onto President Kennedy Ave. Just follow along the Seine River to Bridge pont d'iena The Queues are Long, leave it til Evening, the lines are Shorter. Wait was About 30 min to buy ticket. It Take Approx, Another 1 hour to Reach Summit. Factor this time in if you want to see the Daylight view. I timed it so at Level One, It was Daylight, By the time I got to the Top it was Night. Cost Me 11.50 to Top -feb 2008 Cheaper if You Just want to Go Halfway If you Go At night, Learn How to Use Your Camera!! So Many ppl Had Super Duper Expensive Cameras & Couldn't take Photos Properly. I'd Hate for Anyone to Go all the way & Have No Memories. The Tower Sparkles On the Hour for 10 Min- Spectacular You'll WILL Get Hassled By Beggars & Souvenir Touts Constantly, However, the Little Glowing Souvenirs are Pretty Cheap, They Say 8 Euro, Pay 6. The Real Deal Crystal Versions Cost 50+ Euros at Gare Nord! Keep Valubles Safe from Pickpockets- It Can Get Crowded It can Take Another 45 min-1 hour to Get Back Down Tower.

Batobus Buy a day ticket for the Batobus on the Seine - 8 stops including all the major attractions and you can get on and off as many times as you like.

Try the Batobus ! Try using the Batobus boats to explore. they run in a loop from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame. You can get passes for €12 per day, €14 for 2 days or €17 for 3 and use them as much as you like.
